Orton wanting something slowed down. That doesn't sound like him.

In that case he's 1000000000% right. Guys can make sandwiches waiting for Kofi to land a move.

I'll bet that's Orton's note to everybody. "Hey man, it's good. It would just be better if it was way slower. The people really respond to things that are ridiculously slow. Just be as slow as possible."

I think Randy only does half of the stuff the internet blames him for. Sure he might have called Kofi stupid for a botched spot, but I doubt he went to management to call for his depush.

Same reason the Internet always thinks CM Punk is in the dog house or that Brock Lesnar has NUCLEAR heat on him.

Bryan wins at summer slam. Orton cashes in right there and beats Bryan.
Finally turns Orton heel which he is much better at. Given their recent interactions, this is the only reason I can see why they gave Orton the case. And I'm okay with it as long as Bryan comes out of the feud on top. |

You can't call out Orton for being unreliable, then in the same paragraph say that RVD should have won the case. You mean the guy who got caught in possession of illegal substances while WWE and ECW Champion?

Also, don't forget that he did this after they launched a 3rd brand and named it after his old company to build it around him.

RVD has two strikes? I don't think that he does. There's more to being unreliable than getting in trouble for substances. We've known of RVD's recreational use of marijuana for like 15 years and really the only time it has ever hindered him was that one incident. Yeah, that shouldn't have happened, but to my knowledge he hadn't had a violation before that or since that. I don't think RVDs reliability has really ever been in question, even after the RVD/Sabu smokefest.

I actually read the wellness policy a couple days ago, and when someone with strikes returns to the company, they only start out with 2 strikes if they were fired for having 3 strikes. I don't think this was the case for RVD, so he should potentially be starting with a clean slate, unless his contract says otherwise (which is possible, but I don't think we have any way of knowing that).
Also, XL didn't say anything about number of strikes. |

Not to mention that marijuana infractions aren't punishable by suspension or at least they weren't when the whole incident happened. The only reason they got in trouble was because they had it on them in their car and there was a police report.

I'm not talking about strikes at all. I'm talking about "reliability". WWE finally pulled the trigger on RVD as a main eventer and he gets in trouble with the law. Not a great way to repay the company's faith in you.

Making a mistake is one thing. I'm mainly focused on the guys that make the same mistakes over and over again. Those are the guys you don't want to be throwing your stock into. Especially with the 3 strikes rule being in place. Anybody with 2 strikes is really risky to be throwing money into. Too many hard working guys that behave themselves to be tossing money at risky investments.
I think TNA shouldn't be messing around with Hardy either, to be fair. He's proven to be a perpetual fuck up. |

What about Jeff Hardy's "Creatures" though? I know some of them mean well, I'd hate for them to wonder around in fan purgatory until the next guy comes along and starts recalling the creatures...

I agree wholeheartedly with regard to Orton; he would be a risky proposition. I feel RVD is in a similar boat though. You said yourself that his fondness of weed is well known, would you risk putting the briefcase/title in his hands if a repeat was possible?

If I was choosing to put my stock in one of the risky investments, I'd go with the one who isn't painfully boring.
For the record, at no point did I think WWE would put the briefcase on RVD. It would've shaken things up a bit, though. Note: Orton winning doesn't shake anything, other than the collective heads of Tables, Ladders, & Podcast. |
