Yeah I'm kinda a fan of the guns. Not too often you see the morphing device act as their main weapon.

Though I'm more of a fan of the Silver Ranger's gun then I am of the other 9.

This was apparently a riff project pointing out Hollywood's 'gritty reboot' culture. The director chose PR because he wanted something silly enough. He didn't do this as a PR project per se. Didn't see it yet. Maybe I'll check it out sometime.

Makes sense. Felt like a Halo cut scene at the start. Not sure why Katie didn't change her hair color. Thought she might have been Kat if she lost her accent in the war.

This was very good, but I'm not gonna be all "OMGZ I JUST EJACULATED!" like some people on the net. Not keen on the idea of everything having to be "dark and gritty" these days, and it did seem odd seeing the Rangers with guns and killing people etc. But then again, I guess this isn't the 1994 series so whatever. Visually it looked amazing, and if it were made into a film like this, I'd still be totally up for it.

The point of the project is that adultening children's shows doesn't work. It's not supposed to mix well. Why would he choose something that could easily be made to be more adult without much problems?

You don't seem to get it. He wasn't trying to make a good adult Power Rangers. He was saying that it's stupid to try to do it. It's a kids show. It's not meant to be dark like this.

Gritty and realism doesn't have to be guns and killing. A gritty and realistic PR could be good, obviously without the blood and killing. I felt like Guardians of the Galaxy was similar to Power Rangers in some ways.

Saban's about to get handled if the director's chooses to combat this. There is no basis for DMCA. Not even for copyright infringement. He should also look up The Streisand Effect.
