So we go from a mega high of Daniel Bryan to a mega low of The Authority back in power...

The only thing better would have been if after Cena gave in Edge got up and started celebrating finally getting one over on him

Bryan's announcement basically makes this show an automatic thumbs up. In general though I quite enjoyed this show, much more than any Raw in the past several months.

Good match that showed Reigns in a good light for once.

So, any chance at all that we actually get to see Daniel Bryan win the Royal Rumble and face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania? Honestly, I feel like that's the best route to go at this point. Reigns' return has not exactly been a knock out - I'm assuming the creative team (i.e. Vince) learned his lesson from last year's fiasco and won't try to force feed him to us ala Batista.
Probably just getting hopeful. |

Best. RAW. Ever.
Daniel Bryan is back, Triple H is back, and WWE actually had characters get fleshed out and develop emotional connections with us. God bless Paul Levesque! |

I think youll get Rollins vs Bryan for the MITB at WM. Bryan wins ad cashes in on Lesnar after he beats Reigns.

Anybody else notice the respect fans have for Bryan?
No "What" chants and at certain points they got totally quiet when he was trying to speak. |

Really hope this is the last time we see Steph, hate how she tries to make herself look like a bad-ass over all the other divas.

The line works with anyone but Kurt Angle because he won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin' neck!
And Rollins is tremendous and one of the best heels. I seriously hope they keep him heel for the foreseeable future so he can develop the persona even more. |

I feel like they will have Cena "outsmart" them first thing next week with a lawyer saying he can't make that decision under duress or some shit.

Daniel Bryan needs to win the royal rumble, make lesnar tap out at Mania to win the title, and then have a series of feuds leading to Dean Ambrose or Wyatt winning the title off of him at SummerSlam.

I think it was because of the legitimate fear/sadness that he could actually be retiring. I know I started to get emotional ala Edge/HBK/Flair retirement speeches until he teased it too much and it started dawning on me what was about to happen. If there is any doubt as to whether Daniel Bryan is a fucking SUPERSTAR, it was eliminated last night. Him saying he is wrestling again got a pop that rivaled Flair's "I'LL NEVER RETIRE!" Promo. Fans love and respect Daniel Bryan. There is an emotional connection that has been built over the past few years that can never be broken. He is a solidified permanent true main event draw. Daniel Bryan is perhaps the only babyface in WWE who bridged the gap between the casual audience and the hardcore fans. From my memories, I don't recall Washington DC being a "smarky" city so I can only imagine the reaction he'll get in Philly when he enters (and wins) the 2015 Royal Rumble. Daniel Bryan makes people happy just by wrestling, and that is something truly special.

So will the authority returning change/add a stipulation to the potential Triple H vs. Sting WM match?

Maybe Sting becomes GM Vs. Triple H steps down as COO. The problem with Survivor Series is that there was nobody ready to be in Command of WWE once the authority left. At WM Sting will be standing there ready to lead.

Not a fan of Daniel Bryan's return. The annoying Yes chants, the unbearable booing of other wrestlers that aren't Daniel Bryan on the shows. The way they treated Rey Mysterio in the 2014 Royal Rumble match proved to me that Daniel Bryan is the IWC's darling.
It's pretty obvious they are going to put Roman Reigns' push on hold, to have Daniel Bryan pursue the WWE Championship once again. Which is sad, because Roman Reigns has more reason to be a WWE Champion now, than Daniel Bryan. And now fans are going "WWE better make Daniel Bryan the champion in 2015". Why should they? Because some marks saying "we riot" everytime their darlings doesn't get a championship reign? Daniel Bryan already got a superstar level in the WWE, so he doesn't need another year. He achieved greatness by being at the top of his game and defeating to former WWE Champions in one night for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. He doesn't need another title reign. |

And as far as Edge goes, is it really necessary by the WWE to give Edge constant cheapshots at his neck problems?
Last time he was on Raw, Triple H mocked it, now we have Rollins threatening to break Edge's neck. Is it really that necessary? |

Pretty standard WWE behaviour for WWE, even when wrestlers are active, injuries (regardless if they are scripted or legit) have always/will always be exploited. How is this different?

Comparing Hogan and Edge
For all intents and purposes, the wind can blow wrong and Hogan will be paralyzed. He isn't involved physically in anything because he can't be, period. If you truly believe that WWE wouldn't generate cheap heel heat over a retired John Cena's injuries (hypothetically speaking of course) then you must have been watching WWE for only a couple of weeks/months. Edge is far from the first they have done this with, and will not be the last. |

Edge: "Yes" ------------------------------------------------------ Vince: "Hey Hogan can we make fun of your knee?" Hogan: "No" |

Cesaro went straight after Barretts shoulder, its not exactly an uncommon thing to use a commonly known injury and exploit it as part of a match/angle, if Hogan has another match I would bet my last penny unless its against Hornswoggle the bearhug or a similar move would be used and they'd stress Hogans history of back surgeries.

This also seems like a realistic scenario. Hogan's ego will never die, which is understandable. He honestly believes he can "have one more run" with the title.

If he were to become an active wrestler again, yes. The only thing preventing it is Hogan's massive ego.

With the WWE being so afraid to do something wrong after that CM Punk podcast, they quickly went and retired Christian fearing from his 'concussion and injuries'. I doubt they would ever mock John Cena after he retires. They will never dare to the same thing for Hogan. Hell, they wouldn't do the same thing to Stone Cold Steve Austin about his neck injury. The certainly won't do the same to The Rock.

K, so back to the original question of why Reigns is so much more deserving or "needs" to be the champ at this point?

Because unlike Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns hasn't been a WWE Champion. And I think he surely deserves it. I love how people complain that 'WWE never pushes new stars', but once they do, everyone gets so aggressive "why you push this guy, and not that guy..."
