Well, yeah, he should have done. But it's a little late for that. Would seem to make no sense if they turn him now. Unless they align him with Vince, who screws HHH over?

But over the long haul, most arenas would boo him because he would be with The Authority. Gimmick wise, him acting all calm would be good heat. Reigns would still have the segment of the audience that will be with him no matter what because they think its the cool thing to do. But you shouldnt book for those people. |

Ambrose is just cooler. You can put him in a suit and have him turn his back on everything he seemed to believe in, but people will ultimately cheer him because of his higher levels of talent and charisma.

So does Cena count as someone 'not on the roster right now' because if not I don't get it...

Who's a legit star not currently on the roster and big enough a name to wrestle Taker?

Comments on wrestlinginc for the article seem to think it will be Barin Corbin from NXT? Why would that be a 'selling point' for WM...

From another forum about the recent Observer newsletter:
So WWE finally gave up on Cena being a possible choice for Taker. |

It depends on what they mean by "not on the roster." Technically Sting is on the roster, just not active.
I read this report and the only conclusion I come up with (unless there is something else going on that is 100% quiet) is Undertaker vs. Goldberg. No reason at all to call up an NXT guy with the streak being broken. Only reason for a Taker match at WM is for that box office match with hype. Goldberg has stated that he'd go all in if it made sense and the money is right. With the roster being depleted I can't see why this wouldn't be a possibility. Although, I'm sure in end it will actually be Undertaker vs. Ryberg who will be accompanied to the ring by his manager, Gillberg. |

The only "not on the roster" opponent for Undertaker that I would find satisfying is Kurt Angle.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Goldberg would be a draw anymore?
All this talk about him going all out for the right amount, would he really be worth it though? Do people even know who Goldberg is these days? It's not 1998 anymore. His 2003 run was a flop, what makes people think a 2016 run will be any different? |

The whole suspension of Titus O'Neil is a work! He will come out on Smackdown with Teddy Long who will book him in a ONE ON ONE MATCH WIT' DA UNDATAKA! at Wrestlemania
book it (that or Randy Orton might be ready to return by then) |

I feel like there is no chance in hell WWE would medically clear Kurt Angle for a match.

It's just tough for me to think that Angle's neck isn't being held together by bubble gum and duct tape. Would be ecstatic to see him get one last WM match though.

they might have problems clearing him medically for a deal/contract, it's a bit different just for a match tho and Angle can definitely still "go". But there's no way it happens.

Yeup. Been working in Chinese internet and ppv type markets ever since he left the WWE.
Think Vince during the Stone Cold podcast Network episode teased they don't really see each other that much anymore. |

It's Punk!
He doesn't really need surgery, they offered him the legit Main Event spot against Taker in his last match, in his home state. |
