My best friend isn't the biggest Batman fan ever, and he knows his movies. He said it was fucking great, and called it one of the greatest movies he has ever seen, and compared it with The Godfather. Not to try and set expectations too high, or anything.
Going to see it tomorrow. Should be awesome. |

You can walk to the theater and buy your tickets with cash.
I'm seeing this on Friday morning at 9am. Figure all the crazy fan boys will have seen it at either midnight, 3am or 6am prior to me, adults will have work as it is not "Batman Day" (for them, anyways) and little children will not be going to the movie unaccompanied, nor this early. It is summer break after all. My logic is flawless, right? |

Seriously, don't underestimate this one. Hell I was looking at booking for an IMAX screening and all the good seats are gone in every screening until about August 5th or something (it comes out here 7/25)

This movie was so sick. Ledger played the role so well, and now we must start speculating about the next one

I thought that 90% of this Posthumous Oscar talk for Ledger was just because of his death.
Wow. Was I wrong. His performance MADE that movie for me. I was literally sinking into my seat at the major parts with the Joker. |

What a brilliant, brilliant film. I had chills through the entire movie, from beginning to end. Can't say enough good about it. Heath Ledger is the definitive Joker. What a fucking titanic performance. The voice, the posture, the facial expressions, everything was just absolutely nailed.
As good as Ledger was, I'm afraid his performance is going to leave Aaron Eckhart ignored. His performance was, I would say, on par with Ledger's. SPOILER: show The rest of the cast was uniformly excellent, as I expected. Dunno how they can top this film with the next sequel. But I can't wait to see them try. Anyone who is having doubts, let me give you an opinion.
I can't stand Batman. Never liked him, never considered him a Superhero, and never liked the mythology and character. I have, however, always liked the Joker. Even with me not being a Batman fan, this is easily the best movie I've seen this year so far. And not just because of Ledger. The whole cast was incredible. |

I went to bed at 4AM last night after my venture to see The Dark Knight in Oceola.
It is now 7:40AM, less than 4 hours later, and I am pounding a cup of coffee in preparation for seeing The Dark Knight again at 9AM. This is NOT a bad thing by any means. |

I don't get to see this until next week () but everything I've seen tells me it will be worth it. One more week won't hurt that much.
Question for those who've seen it though - from the more recent trailers (the Dominos one especially) I got the impression they had mixed in elements from The Killing Joke. Can anyone confirm this? Simple yay or nay will do, or if you want to go in depth please avoid spoilers |
