Also I'm going to make an empathetic statement...
I think Zemo is the one the best marvel movie villian yet. Loved how you thought it was like a world domination plot like any other movie, but then nope he was just normal dude who wanted revenge. Great idea, and I think he's better then the real Zemo. |

Also, they ARE fighting eachother because of the Registration Act or Sokovia Accords if you will.
And the fact Bucky killed Tony's parents was not only in the comic books (some versions at least) but it was like one the very first spoilers about this movie. |

Saw this last night. No need to restate everything's that's been said from a narrative and characterization standpoint. Had a blast watching and am glad I didn't wait to see it.
Black Panther and Spider-Man stole the show for me. 8/10 |

I guess I'm the only guy not "going crazy" over Spider-Man.... Feel like he has "potential", but just based on this movie he isn't better than the other two there have been. I don't actually know if people are saying he is better, but they are saying he was "great" and stuff, to which I am like "he was alright".

Mind you, I haven't seen the movie yet, only parts. Not only is the suit awesome, he really IS Peter Parker, a dorky teenager making quips in the middle of fights and being starstruck seeing all the superheroes and whatnot. Just being a teenager. The other two, well, their jokes felt really forced, they spent way too much time being overdramatic and didn't feel like Parker at all. |

I wouldn't say best Spider-Man yet because we haven't actually seen him in a full movie. In terms of what he contributed to the film though, I found him to be great.
Also, Marissa Tomei is so pretty. |

Any real dorky teenager wouldn't talk about Empire Strikes Back like he did!
By the way, about that, was it just my imagination or did they "sample" a bit of Star Wars music when Spidey was roping up Giant Man's legs? |

Spidey was perfect, imo. My fave version is the Josh Keaton Spectacular Spidey which in turn echoed Ultimate Spidey (comic) so seeing a kid be Spider-Man was a long time coming for me.

I would't mind seeing a grown-up Peter some day, maybe in ten years time or whatever if they need to reboot again, or maybe as Tom Holland just gets older himself. Whilst this Peter (which was spot-on btw), is most definitely "a kid", McGuire and Garfield were still portraying a young Peter themselves.
In Civil War (the comics) Peter is definitely a grown-up. Not sure if there is an official indication of Peters age in the comics floating around, but he's gotta be at least late 20's early 30's right? It'd be kinda interesting to see that portrayed on the big screen some day. |

I love how previous films were major motivators for tony and caps stance on the zakovia act. Tony's guilt over the destruction caused by his creations, and caps mistrust of the government after hydra hijacked everything are much better reasons than "I can see into the future because I'm so smart!" and "No, but FREEDOM, tho."

Torn on it... I knew going in that there was no way they were going to follow the massive storyline. However I wish that the speedball fight that started it all was in the movie. I liked that it was action from beginning to end and the black panther was well done. Some key comic book parts of the story were missing. (Thor killing giant man) but with the allowed time, I would have named it something else. Good movie can't wait for part two.

Really hate the "they deviated from the comic book" criticism. It's a different story, in a different "world".

I never have a problem with films deviating from the comic books but it is cool when they throw in scenes directly from comic books. Dawn of Justice was full of them.

The new warriors incident worked for the comics, in that world of thousands of superhumans and decades of history. In the MCU, with it's tightly woven overarching plot, it makes much more sense to directly involve the avengers' actions as the reason for the reg act. It's the same reason they made stark create ultron instead of introducing hank pym. They're condensing decades of marvel history within this much smaller universe. To make it work smoothly, sacrifices will need to be made in some of the adaptations. And no, they shouldn't have called it something else, because no matter what else happened in civil war, the main driving plot was the war of ideologies between cap and tony, and as I stated above, I think the movie actually did it better than the comic. |

I thoug that movie was actually better then the comic.
Only things I wanted in the movie that were in the book was... 1)Captain America fighting dirty (maybe we got that in the movie? Maybe) 2) Captain America's line "Winning everything, but the arguement." Other then that everything in the movie was better then the book. |

Yeah, Ragnarok killed Goliath. Really glad that part wasn't in the movie as it would have been to much. Really no need for the New Warriors or other character from the comics. Could have had War Machine die to mimick that scene but I think it was alright. Just wish Crossbones wouldn't have died so early.

Finally got round to seeing this, really enjoyed it. I'm liking how Spider-man was portrayed as the wise cracking kid that he is, his interactions with Stark were great and makes me more inclined to go see Homecoming when it comes out.
Didn't know a huge amount about Black Panther before so this was a decent introduction to him and his background. Again, how he came across here makes me want to see his solo movie when that's released. LOVED the airport battle, I haven't seen Ant-Man yet so was really shocked when he went giant (not sure if he does it in his film), so that was a cool moment for me. |
