King of the Ring Prediction Thread
Surprise! On 24 hours' notice, King of the Ring is back.
I'm going to assume they'll have preliminaries tomorrow night and maybe semi-finals and definitely the finals on the WWE Network Special Tuesday night. Or they'll have seven six-minute matches on Tuesday. Place your bets on who's going to be your 2015 King of the Ring. SPOILER: show |

Definitely will be reigns.
Cesaro would be a nice pick to get a nice mike card push Rusev is another option. |

My prediction: Someone will win and then fail to gain any degree of main event success whatsoever.

But seriously, we'll know if this has all been another huge waste of time or not by whether or not Axel or Slater win.
If either does win, KotR 2015 = worth it. If not, WASTE OF TIME. |

Honestly I was really surprised that it's happening. As far as someone to win it, I kinda would love to see Neville win it. I feel that with him winning it and then they handling the character right, we could see potential replacement for Daniel Bryan in case of more injuries and he decides to retire

Big Show will cost Reigns his match in the first or second round. Is Ryback in it? Ryback needs to win it.

THE RYBACK, Cesaro or the Uso on the left are the correct answers.

If this was 93 I'd say Tatanka, but I'll go with Providence Poopster Dolph Ziggler

The level of obnoxiousness from him would make it worth it. Ceasro as my actual dark horse. WWE.com actually predicted the return of KotR and him winning it would easily bring back the post-Mania push he never got as a reward. http://www.wwe.com/inside/10-things-...in-2015/page-7 |

Also, the potential for "The Reign Of Reigns" is too strong for WWE to pass up. Roman beats Bray in the finals.

No way they will have Roman Reigns win this. They want to stop fans from hating Reigns and start loving him. Having him screwed in the tournament, earlier the better, will build up his likability with the fans.

That's a good idea in theory. An early exit like Austin at Deadly Game or Hogan and Andre at WMIV would be a great way to build his chase.
I just have no faith that they'll do the smart thing. |

I do. They realize how dumb it was to have him go over at Mania. With their actual future investment there is no way the WWE will be dumb enough to have him just win everything. Hell, it may be an entire year before Roman Reigns wins any titles/achievements IMO.

Is there brackets for this or anything? Or could it be lower card and NXT guys got all we know?
I hope lots of people tune in and it can build momentum as a thing again, always loved King of the Ring tournaments. |

I could get into Roman winning if he was to turn heel and join the Authority. HHH seems to be growing tired of Rollins antics. Roman winning King of the Ring and aligning himself with the King of Kings. This would piss Rollins off and could also lead to a shield triple threat, weather it be at Summerslam or Mania.

Love that KOTR is back, hate that it isn't 64 people.... plenty of people on the roster to fill out a bracket, throw in a handful of NXT guys and a few "legend" surprises along the way and you could have a month-long "March Madness" tournament, 3-4 matches on Raw & Smackdown, 1-2 on Main Event, Superstars & NXT and a 2-hour special on The WWE Network of the Final 8.....

Yep. Sheamus over Ziggler in the finals. That was my first thought when the tournament was announced.

unless they take each other out, I can see Dolph costing Sheamus against Ziggler and vice versa. In which case I'd go with Ambrose or Neville

I know I'm giving WWE way too much credit for maybe thinking things out but I feel like they are only bringing it back to add something to someone's gimmick. I'm not sure how being the king would help Ambrose's character. "King Neville" sounds decent and I guess they could use it in a "Mighty Mouse" kind of way.
But Sheamus beating Neville, Ambrose and Ziggler (three of "your heroes") in the same night to become a king just makes so much sense for his character. |

Didn't Sheamus already win King of the Ring and have a horrible King gimmick?
