Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
It looks as if right now we might see Show vs. Cody at WrestleMania 28. I’d be disappointed in not seeing Cody vs. Goldust.

WWE.com is now confirming that Shaq won’t compete at WrestleMania 28. Unless this is some swerve.

I said somewhere else that I'd like to see Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show, if for nothing else than Show has never been IC Champion.

I'd much rather Rhodes v. Rhodes.....stick Show in the pre-show Battle Royal, so that he can win it, but not count as a "legitimate victory" as it wasn't on the the actual card..... i.e. make a storyline out of it, either turn Show heel or have a heel (possibly Cawdy after Mania) make fun of him and claim the only way he can win at Mania is in the ring with 20+ other jobbers not deserving enough to be on the Mania card.....

I am just happy that people will stop acting like Show/Shaq is a done deal for WM like they have been doing ever since the rumors began.

YES! YES! YES!
Cody so deserves a match with Show at Mania, good job WWE. Get Shaq as an enforcer for something, I dunno. |

This has potential to be a great undercard match. Big Show and Cody have been on top of their game for a while now

Shaq went on ESPN radio this morning and said he was wrestling at WrestleMania 28. No idea what's going on.

Don't know don't care.
I'm still pushing for the WHC match, WWE Championship match, Rock vs Cena, HHH vs Taker HIAC, and say screw the rest of the card and have a hour and a half Metallica concert with it. |

Goldust has been pushing for a match between him and Cody and wants it as his final match. They seemed to be teasing it before the Royal Rumble, so why not go through with it? Show facing Cody just screams “filler” to me. It’s not something I’d be interested in seeing at WrestleMania. Worse things could happen, but Show should face Shaq while Cody faces Goldust. That’s the best possible scenario.

No idea what's going on with this Shaq thing if he's still saying he's gonna be there...especially if Show is feuding with Rhodes now, obviously. I guess I can see it become a tag team match...but why? Also, I have no idea who would be the othe tag participant besides Shaq.
Big Show to me is as stale as Cena is. Like i don't give a shit, but I'm interested in how things are going to pan out |

Personally, I don't want to see The Big Show having a match with a retired basketball player.
I'd rather see The Big Show face Cody Rhodes for the IC Title. The last time the IC Title was defended at WrestleMania, was at WrestleMania XXV and that match only lasted about 20 seconds. Before that, WrestleMania X8 was the last time the IC Title was defended in an actual match. A while back the WWE were all about bringing prestige back to the IC Title and also the Tag Team Titles. They were doing a really good job with the Tag Titles until Evan Bourne decided to get high for a second time. The IC Title hasn't really had that much work put into it to make it what it once was. Sure, we've had a design change and a fued or two over the title when the design change was made, but since November, Rhodes has just been carrying that title around with him and not defending it. I think now would be a good time to start something with The Big Show over the IC Title, which will end at WrestleMania. |

I'd like for Show to end his losing streak but I don't want him as an IC Champion it was bad enough when they made him a US one after winning the big one just to put Cena over.

I'm all for Cody vs. Goldust, but I'd much rather see that at a later PPV. There's no rush. Big Show is a much bigger star than Goldie, and you could have Cody lose to Show and then Goldust confront Cody later in the show and say that he should have listened his his advice, or something. A match between the brothers would mean more with more build.
Shaq could attack Big Show after his match with Cody? So far there's no real reason for the two to wrestle. Shaq could give Big Show one. |

I thought this feud would lead to a match between the two. However, after further examination, I’ve come to the conclusion that Big Show and Cody Rhodes are actually creating TWO FEUDS that will involve other people. Hear me out:
When Cody showed that video of when Show faced Akebono at WrestleMania 21, he was trying to embarrass Show because he lost to a celebrity, and then in the last two months, Cody has feuded with Booker T, who’s a legend; he eliminated various legends in the Royal Rumble like Booker, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jerry Lawler, and Mick Foley; and now he’s picking on Show, who’s a legend in his own right. Cody having all these interactions with legends is buildup to a match with Goldust. Cody embarrassing Show is just a way to further make a name for himself. I predict that on the next SmackDown, Show will have a match like he did with Mark Henry, and Cody will interrupt again and show a video of Show getting knocked out by Floyd Mayweather at WrestleMania 24, which will embarrass Show and prompt him to challenge Cody to a match, and Cody will accept. Shaquille O’Neal will be announced as the guest host for the March 12th edition of RAW. On the following SmackDown, Cody will have a run-in with his brother, Dustin Rhodes, who asks him why he feels the need to embarrass these legends like Show and Booker and recalls the run-ins they had in December and January. Cody insults him and leaves. Show faces Cody, and Goldust comes down during the match, which distracts Cody. Cody tells him to leave, and he turns around and gets hit with a Chokeslam, and Show wins the match. Cody becomes irate. On the March 12th RAW, Shaq is in the ring cutting a promo, and Show comes out and says that Cody showing those videos ignited something in him and he remembers last time they met in the ring and Shaq knocked him down. He says he wants to avenge those two celebrity losses by challenging one of the world’s biggest celebrities in Shaq to a match at WrestleMania 28, and Shaq accepts, and then Show hits him with the WMD, solidifying his heel turn. |

Great post, Mr. C. Could definitely see that. I could even see Show & Goldust vs. Cody & Shaq coming from that.

The only way this match will be worthwhile is if Rhodes goes over… if Show wins, it’s just another example of how bad the WWE is these days.

Big Show is pretty underrated as a worker, imo. Dude has been putting on some pretty entertaining matches for the past few years now. He knows his limitations, and knows how to work around them, to put on the best match possible for a guy his size.
I think the match with Cody will be pretty good. I'd much rather see that than a match with Goldust. Most WWE fans don't know, or don't care that they are brothers. And Goldust hasn't done anything relevant in years, so even if they hype the match to the moon, Cody won't get as much out of beating Goldust as he would from even losing to the Big Show. Also, as stated before, Big Show has been ON as of late, and I think it would be the better match. Also, Goldust's book was a bunch of pig shit, so fuck im'. |

As much as I love Goldust, nobody wants to see him wrestle besides fat virgin smarks.
Big Show vs Cody Rhodes should be pretty good. |

Big Show has been fantastic lately. To me, since returning in October, he's been on top form. The only bad point since his return, to me, was the whole "I've ran into AJ and almost broke her neck somehow" thing. I didn't really care for that. But I think a Cody/Show match at WrestleMania will actually be great and quite entertaining. I didn't think I'd say this, but If we do see that match at WrestleMania, then I'd like to see Cody lose the IC Title to Big Show. I think with the way Big Show has been recently, a Big Show IC Title run could be good. It would also give the title some meaning if Cody tries to get it back for about a month or so. He could fail in getting the title back but then move on to going for the World Heavyweight Championship. Hanging around that scene but not winning the title could be good for him and build him up as being a possible and credible World Heavyweight Champion in the future. He wouldn't be another "Swagger", let's put it that way. Someone I know though seems to hate Big Show. He hates him so much that's even even made an anti-Big Show Facebook Group. His reason for hating Big Show are pretty lame. Quote:

About what? His whole career is in the first one, explained in as little detail as possible, and with all the enthusiasm and charisma of Stephen Hawking's voice box.

Rather have him retire his brother on the biggest stage of them all. The storyline they’d have is great.
