I was called racist at RAW in Indy for cheering for Swagger. I turned to the beaner buttfucker and told him that we the people wish he would leave our great nation because he was here illegally and knows he was smuggled into the show. We all know they can't afford tickets in Mexico.

I do kind of wish they'd done something with Bo Dallas though, even if it was a squash loss to Barrett. To essentially waste a Rumble spot on a guy that would be featured for 2 weeks before disappearing just stinks of bad planning.

Good thing they are debuting a shitty PPV concept in a pro-WWE town. WWE Payback in Atlanta would be shit on with no mercy.

The name of the PPV really doesn't matter for any reason but nostalgia, but I think that the Extreme Rules concept and the "just a regular PPV' concept should be switched over. After WrestleMania there are some return matches to be had, some new programs to explore and a general buzz about the product. It is after that when there is a potential second or third match between guys that throwing gimmicks on all of them makes more sense.
I mean, imagine if Batista had beaten Triple H at WrestleMania 21, then beat him at Hell in a Cell at Extreme Rules the following month. It just doesn't have the aura about it as Batista beating Triple H at WrestleMania, beating him in a return match at "sequential PPV" and then winning the big grudge match at the hardcore-themed PPV. Also, this might be a pipe-dream, because The Rock has not been confirmed for the show, but I would absolutely love to see John Cena vs. The Rock vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat Match in Chicago. |

I was just thinking that Antonio Cesaro vs. Zack Ryder would make a pretty good US Title match at WrestleMania, even if it is just thrown on there as a buffer between heavier matches. I've just got this thing where I'd like to see every championship defended at WrestleMania, because if a championship isn't worthy of the biggest show of the year, then why have that championship?
Zack Ryder's recent antics don't seem like they would benefit him in the company's eye, but with WrestleMania essentially being in his hometown, Zack Ryder will no doubt get a massive pop whenever he shows up, and he could play a nice little underdog role against Cesaro for the PPV. Ryder also has an on-air friendship with Santino Marella, the man that Cesaro defeated to become the US Champion in the first place. Marella accompanying Cesaro for his match could lead to some funny ringside antics and actually tell a pretty heart-warming story of friends supporting each other. Just have Ryder win a Battle Royal, eliminating Cody Rhodes last, creating a shocking upset victory for Ryder and a "Can he really do it at WrestleMania?!" vibe about the plucky babyface. Cesaro is pretty amazing in the sense that he can make everyone he works with look good, and he'd get an impressive couple of minutes out of Ryder. If Zack stinks up the join at WrestleMania, it also gives the WWE less of a reason to try him again in the future. It'll be on Ryder's head, and no one can say that he never had a chance. There are a few guys who "deserve" it more. There are better matches for Cesaro (although time constraints probably renders that a pretty useless point). There is no doubt that Ryder wouldn't be the worst choice on the planet given how fucking over he can be in the right town though. |

Zack Ryder had his shot. He got the U.S. Title, had an angle with Hugh Jackman on RAW, etc. They should bury the ever loving fuck out of him, give him a 90 day vacation, and send him to Orlando. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. He was a one trick pony who had his 15 minutes of fame and is now acting like a fucking brat because nobody gives a shit anymore.

Another thing I was thinking about:
At this stage, I think that essentially all the members of the Nexus besides Ryback, Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt would actually benefit from the group getting back together. Even Wade Barrett at this point. Not immediately, but sometime soon. You can start the build at WrestleMania, with Brad Maddox-announced referee for the match, David Otunga, screwing The Miz out of the Intercontinental Title against Wade Barrett. Rumors of Nexus getting back together spread, and Wade Barrett and David Otunga both deny it. Down the track Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Darren Young all betray their partners in the same week. The following week a big beat-down of some babyface ensues and we get Michael McGillicutty and Mason Ryan joining in on the beat-down. That gives the group seven guys. Wade Barrett would be the main player, David Otunga would be heelish second-in-command, Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel would be the tag team, Michael McGillicutty would be the mid-card singles guy in the group and Mason Ryan would be the muscle. Darren Young would be Darren Young. They can face scorned former partners for a few weeks in various combinations. Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Darren Young & Michael McGillicutty vs. Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Tyson Kidd & Rufus "Pancakes" Patterson as a PPV opener could be pretty decent. They would be thematically different from The Shield enough to survive on their own, and you can reveal that their current incarnation is the brain-child of Brad Maddox, who can join as the eighth member. |

I'd like to see Rufus "Pancakes" Patterson take a shit on Zach Ryder's chest at WrestleMania. Long Island Freshly Squeezed Steamer.

Thank you! Why does no one else see this? His no-nonsense yet witty promo style was so refreshing on NXT and in some of the WWE.com videos that he has filmed. He could easily sell himself as a reluctant hero of the people, ready to kick a heel's ass.

Barrett/Gabriel/Slater/Harris then ambush The Shield during one of their promos. Wade cuts a promo that The Shield has been impressive, but now they've earned the ire of the original impact makers. Heath Slater would sort of be the odd man out, but he scores a "shocker" win over Roman Reigns after some chaos and 3MB shenanigans. They then "take out" Slater in the back. You do the 6-man tag at Extreme Rules. Then, the next PPV has 2 matches -- Barrett vs Ambrose, Rollins/Reigns vs Gabriel/Harris. I don't know how you'd end it or go from there. Dunno what the ideal "end game" would be. Maybe you tease that Ryback was in Nexus and still isn't done with The Shield. Either way, this deal is used to cement Barrett back as a main eventer and push Ambrose to upper midcard. |

Barrett would almost be like Orton. He is a vile bastard, but people like him because he is who he is and he's a badass. There is just something about Barrett that makes him likeable. He seems like he could like a British HHH. Badass smartass who can be a chickenshit heel just as soon as he can be an ass-kicking machine.

* CM Punk would defeat Darren Young. * Daniel Bryan would beat The Miz, Alex Riley & Derrick Bateman in a Fatal 4-Way Match, and what would probably be the best match of Riley and Bateman's careers. * Ryback would defeat William Regal, if the WWE chose to acknowledge Ryback's past as Skip Sheffield (now that he's not undefeated, I don't see the harm, really). * Heath Slater would defeat Christian with the help of his buddies in 3MB. * Fandango would win a Triple Threat against R-Truth and David Otunga, because Fandango is possibly the best thing to ever come out of NXT. * Wade Barrett would defeat Chris Jericho, because Jericho wouldn't mind putting Barrett over. * Cody Rhodes would defeat Bray Wyatt via disqualification, as The Wyatt Family would attack Cody Rhodes and lift Wyatt up in glorious celebration, as if he won the match. * Rufus "Pancakes" Patterson would defeat Zack Ryder effortlessly. * Kofi Kingston defeats Michael McGillcutty because Pros have to win somewhere. * Justin Gabriel could defeat Percy Watson because neither's Pros are currently in the WWE, so they compete against each other. * Kaitlyn beats Vickie Guerrero in a squash match to get her some pops. * Brodus Clay defeats Ted DiBiase, because I think that even if they were doing something with DiBiase, Clay still seems like a good choice for a winner. * Alberto Del Rio defeats "The Ascension" Conor O'Brian, despite making him look really good. You could even run these matches over the space of a few months to put over the "History of NXT" or some rubbish like that. The winners then go into a Battle Royal and gets some sort of "Icon of NXT" trophy. Give that to Wade Barrett, because of the rookies he seems the most synonymous with the show. |

Absolutely agree with this. I was going to go as far as suggest that if Orton turns heel, Barrett would be the best choice to slide into his role.

I think you have to have a big-man/power guy in there. Barrett/Ambrose match up. Gabriel/Rollins match up. Slater/Reigns do not.

I dunno. Barrett's got power. Slater would be out-sized by Reigns, but he could use his cunning instead to battle the bigger man (and get sympathy against him).

Husky wouldn't revert back to the Husky Harris gimmick just like Slater wouldn't drop 3MB. It is a loose affiliation but they came back together because they know how strong they can be together. Plus, it helps get Bray Wyatt on the main roster and introduce the gimmick. Hell, have him cut a promo about how Nexus crumbling helped "show him the light" or whatever.

It is always fun in a multi-man tag match when the "2 big bulls start locking horns" as JR would say. Harris isn't as imposing physically but he isn't a shitbird like Slater.
