John Mayer is really good...
...and saying that does not make me gay. I bought Continuum a few weeks ago after hearing "Gravity" and "Dreaming With a Broken Heart" playing at work, and I must say, I am quite impressed with the album. He has good lyrics, a great voice, and really he just makes some really enjoyable songs.

Actually he is pretty good.
Now I won't go out of my way to listen to him, but he is better than the majority of bands/singers that have come out in the last 8 year or so. |

He's also cool with Dave Chapelle, so that gets him cool points....doesn't it?

I'm telling you guys, Contiuum is a really solid album. It's the only one I've heard all the way through, but I can't find much wrong with it at all. To those who don't like him, at least tell me why you don't.

Yeah but he got Patti's tape, and Patti got Mr. Bone's yodeling extravaganza. Hilarity ensued as Doug assumed Patti got his tape and was going to screen it at BeBe Bluff's slumber party, which he attempted to sneak into with his partners, Skeeter Valentine and Porkchop.

It's solid music. He sings about girls and relationships sometimes, but it's from a guy's point of view. Honestly, I can listen to anything if it's quality, no matter who it may be 'intended' for.

John Mayer and Dave Matthews should form some sort of speech impediment band.

I was never really into John Mayer, until I saw him at Clapton's Crossroads show. He really can play his ass off, though it doesn't really come across as much on Room for Squares or Heavier Things (still like them though). From what I have heard of the John Mayer Trio though, that's pretty good stuff blues-wise.
