Love Enzo and Cass so much. Really really hope they don't have Cass hook up with Carmella and turn him into a generic big man heel in the process. Seems to be the logical conclusion though with Enzo fucking up constantly.
@ Cass doing the Price is Right theme for Blue Pants. |

Leva Bates might be a bit older than WWE looks for at NXT at 31, but I don't see how it could hurt to sign her up to a developmental deal. The crowd likes her and she's a pretty good worker on the indies.

Sin Cara's finisher is a high angle Swanton bomb. It's nothing special. Aiden English does it too.

he's not talking about the swanton. he did a sunset flip bomb off the top rope or some shit to win their last match. not sure what it's called. think he did a sloppy version of it at r-evolution, too.

Thank you, Ron.
Genuinely didn't realise I'd put Hunico instead of Sin Cara. The move I was talking about was the Sunset Powerbomb. If you watched the show, I don't understand why you'd be confused as to which move I was talking about. |

Kevin Owens is so intriguing at the moment. Seems to legitimately have his moral back up the wall. It's like he's either offended that he's being questioned as to why he did what he did, or he is actually ashamed, but feels like he has to. A real desperate character.
I'm marking out for Blue Pants, not going to lie. She looks better every week too. She's got an endearing quality that they might as well keep around. I loved her getting a name graphic this week. |

So Itami and Balor look to be singles competitors now, good timing I'd say. Curtis Axel also looked good as usual. Hopefully he comes back stronger to the main roster.

I love Axel. I get the criticisms, but in the ring, he is so damn crisp. He's good at talking trash to his opponents, and his facials actually aren't too bad. He's missing the charisma a star needs though, and I hope that finding a niche in NXT helps unlock some.

I was just reading up on Enzo Amore's Wiki page, and apparently he and Colin Cassady met each other about ten years before arriving in NXT when they played basketball together. Cool story.

The WWE might actually have a smash hit on their hands in Blue Pants. You don't need to change a thing about her. Keep her using the ring name "Blue Pants," and have her entrance theme be a recording of Colin Cassady singing The Price is Right theme, if they can get around copyright issues.
In two weeks time, have Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady do their usual shtick and introduce Carmella, who just walks past them and says "Not today." She gets in the ring and talks about how she was humiliated three weeks ago. She hadn't lost a match in NXT until then, and she doesn't plan on losing another. She's challenging that dork in blue pants to a match tonight, because she knows she's here hoping someone will notice her. Blue Pants makes her way out, and Carmella tells Colin "Don't" as he starts to do the theme again. Carmella tells Enzo to "Go." She makes him stand on the ramp or something. The bell rings and they do their match. This time, instead of a distraction, Blue Pants pulls out a great defensive maneuver and then rolls up Carmella for the three! Another upset! This time Cass does do the theme, and Carmella is pissed. She starts yelling at her "friends," and blames them for the loss. The crowd will no doubt be all over her for that. A few weeks later they run another match between the two. This time, Enzo & Cass have a box with them. Blue Pants comes out, this time using the recording of Cass singing. The girls do another match, and this time, Blue Pants wins with a new move that becomes her signature. Afterwards, Enzo & Cass cut her theme off and tell them that they have been impressed by Blue Pants, and they bought her a gift. Blue Pants opens it up and...it's a pair of new blue pants! Maybe they have "Certified Blue" in yellow stitching on the leg. Blue Pants is clearly moved, but before she can properly thank Enzo & Cass, Carmella blasts her from behind. Enzo & Cass are disappointed by this, and Carmella completes a heel turn. They do some backstage segments over the next few weeks, and Cass voices his disgust at Carmella. Being the manipulative heel she now is, Carmella asks Enzo what he thinks, since he always wanted to get with her. Enzo tells her that she's honestly acting like a colossal bitch. The final match takes place between Carmella and Blue Pants, and Blue Pants wins after Enzo points out Carmella trying to cheat with her feet on the ropes. After the match, Devin Taylor grabs Blue Pants for an interview and asks her just what her name actually is. Blue Pants says "My name is...Blue Pants!" to presumably a big pop from the NXT Galaxy. Cue Carmella finding her footing as a bitch heel, and Blue Pants becoming a babyface player in the Women's Division. Dah-dah-dah-dah. |

Not very long. I've been thinking about that sort of thing whenever Carmella shows up. I originally thought it should have been Emma after her embarrassing loss, then I figured Alexa Bliss could use it...but now Blue Pants has a potential rivalry with Carmella.

I think they are gearing towards Blue Pants/Big Cass Vs. Enzo/Carmella at some point maybe not having an actual match but as a comedic wedge. It could be used to turn both Enzo and Carmella heel at the end if they want to end the team.

i have no desire to see that threesome broken up, especially since carmella is a relatively new addition. i would like to see them all keep working together, tweaking the dynamic, and bringing it up to the main roster when it's a bit more polished. they'll all have a better chance at getting over if they are still together.

Enzo is over as a face, and turning him heel wouldn't really give him anything more meaningful to do. He's in a good spot at the moment. A heel turn and push for Big Cass is more likely, but he's getting better in the niche of being a big guy who can do some funny stuff, lose matches due to his inexperience, but also remain perpetually over.

How big of a star do you think Finn Balor is destined to be?
He's a great package; he's in great shape, good looking, good look especially with the paint, great credentials, presence, charisma, seems to be able to talk, and can go in the ring. BUT he lacks size. I'd question how important that is nowadays. Given that the likes of Ziggler and Bryan are two of the hottest properties on the main roster right now. I'd also look at who's coming through; Neville and Zayn look like the next two singles guys to go up. With the addition of Itami alongside Balor, NXT is dominated by smaller guys; is the future of WWE smaller guys? Personally I think he's great, and size shouldn't matter but to a lot if people it does, to Vince it does. Last edited by XL; 01-15-2015 at 04:58 PM. |

Hopefully he has a solid run at the very least as IC champ. Watched him for a while now and he has "it".
The size thing is what it is. I think there is a need to have guys that are "larger than life" to try to emulate super heroes and/or villains. With the likes of who you mentioned, in addition to Rollins and Ambrose, I would like to think it doesn't matter as much. I tune in to wrestling for wrestling. Sometimes I will try to get into a "story" but they turn out to be shite lately so I gave up on it quite some time ago. I will listen to most promos to get a feel for personality. Rollins is developing to be one of the best heels WWE has had in a while. Lesnar is the "bad guy champ" but doesn't have the development that Rollins has. Some will argue that Lesnar doesn't need it, but he just seems like a big guy with a title to me. So long as the people are being entertained, it shouldn't matter. I think the "big guy" thing should be a niche, kinda like a high flyer. Guys like Rollins can do more in the ring than an average "big guy" which leads (or can anyway) to more versatile matches/moves which make things more entertaining. |

Balor will be fine. His lack of size is made up for in presence and theatrics.

He milks the persona better than anyone else recently, sans maybe Cody Rhodes and Goldust. He will be just fine in the main roster, if not better. Now if the creative team can back him up is another matter entirely. Look at the Rhodes Bros now

What does "fine" mean? I'm asking how big the guy can be; will he be an Evan Bourne, a Kofi Kingston, a Ziggler, a Bryan, better?
