I fucking wish..
On that topic, I am pumped about Houston Nutt.. He took Ark to 7 Bowl games and 2 SEC Championships in 15 years.. Fuck a national title, I'll be happy with a winning record.. |

And that is what I hate. If there was a playoff system in place teams would be more likely to play a stronger non-conference schedule, thus more interesting games would take place. Instead most teams are afraid of losing outside their conference so they schedule cupcakes.

Glad Tebow won it and didn't get snubbed due to being an underclassman. Probably gonna get all the hot Florida pussy he could possibly desire.

Why does Kirk Herbstret hate Boston College so much? He picked them to lose to Michigan State as his upset bowl pick for this year lol

All the talk leading up to the game was that UC wanted to rush their offense to throw off Southern Miss' D under their new coach but it looks like it just got Mauk out of rhythm. He was 9th in the nation in efficiency rating this year.

No idea.. Specially when you have Bama and Auburn right around the corner.. The only thing I can figure is, UAB is always on the SEC schedule, and alot of the SEC fans drive to every game..
I dunno.. |

Totally random but if Hawaii beats Georgia I think they should get a share of the National Title

Bull Shit
You can not be a national champ without playing in the championship game.. Supreme, my buddy who lives in Brimingham is in town for the holidays.. Anyway, he went to the game yesterday b/c he lives there and graduated from Southern.. He mentioned going to the game during the Saints game today so I asked him and he said that the sadium has been around longer than the college and that they might have used to played Bama games there.. Dunno.. |

theres extenuating circumstances i think. For example you have three undefeated teams and two are in the title game and the other blows out the team they play. If Hawaii obliterates georgia by a rediculous amount of points then they probably do deserve a share.

No way they blow out GA but even if they did, they don't deserve a share of anything.. It's like the last time LSU won the BCS title they had to share it with USC.. F'n bullshit.. If you don't play in the championship game, you don't deserve part of the title.. Bottom line.. If you don't like that Hawaii might get shafted as an undefeated team, then they need to change to a playoff system..

I doubt you'd feel that way if it is LSU (or some other SEC team) getting a share though. Hawaii is the only undefeated team in the country and if they beat Georgia, who a lot of people think is a top 5 team then I think they deserve a share. I don't give fuck about some system a bunch of old rich white guys made up
I personally think Auburn should have gotten a share the year they went undefeated and beat Virgina Tech (I think that's who it was) in their BCS game as well. |

I don't think Auburn deserved a share of the title because they obv didn't deserve to make it to the BSC Championship game, even with going undefeated in the SEC, according to the BCS.. Do I personally think they deserve to be there?? Yes.. Do I make the calls in the BCS?? No..

When USC got a share of the championship it was the year when Oklahoma was #1 all year and lost their big 12 champ game and was still ranked #1 or 2 by the BCS coputers while LSU and USC both had one loss. LSU ended up beating Oklahoma and USC fucked up a good Michigan or Penn State team. I would say USC deserved a share because they deserved to be in the game while Oklahoma did not.
OH and by the way The national title may have a championship game now but they still do vote on a champ like they have done EVER SINCE THERE WAS COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Like all those years when there would be real good undefeated teams and they would vote Notre Dame national champs and situations like that. If both teams stink it up in the title game and/or one team who was borderline on getting into it and blows out their opponent, the voters can vote whoever they want as the national champion. You try and argue that theres a system and they need to follow it, but they are following the system. |

Its the BCS National Championship game
I'm pretty sure the AP can still vote for whoever they want (much like they did with USC) I think something was put into place recently to try to stop it from happening, but I think it still can |

If Hawaii beats Georgia how can you say they don't deserve consideration for being national champions over possibly a two loss team? Because they weren't chosen to play in a game they never had a chance to play in in the first place? How can you definitively say Ohio State or LSU is the better team than an undefeated Hawaii?

Here's the thing that annoys me the most about this year. Hawaii started the season ranked in the top 25 meaning the voters thought they were one of the best teams in football before a game was ever played. Over the season every single team in front of them lost at least once and all except two lost at least twice. Boston College, Oregon, Kansas, Missouri, and South Florida all started the season UNRANKED, yet they all were able to move up to #1 or #2 during the year. And all Hawaii could do was move up to #10.

And people on TV like newscasters say "Oh college football will not use playoffs. The bowl games are a better way to be successful in a season instead of going home with nothing." We're not asking for a playoffs....We're asking for a sort of playoffs. You can keep the bowls and make them into brackets for Bowls or something else
