Owen Hart/HBK
Ive always wondered this ever since it happened back in December 1997. Obviously this was the month after the infamous screwjob. But was Owen due down? and did he purposly work stiff? HBK seems alittle pissed off afterwards.
Any answers would be appreciated Quote:

Added realism to the storyline..... From all I've heard, Owen didn't hold a grudge about the Screwjob and didn't want to upset Vince and risk losing his job.....

Man I miss Owen...
But yeah, my understanding was that due to the screwjob Owen was playing it extra angry for realism in the angle. |

no,
Owen was very hurt by Montreal and wanted to leave. Vince held onto refused let Owen go because he knew Owen would go to WCW. Bischoff was prepared to pay Owen the same amount he was getting in WWE with lighter schedule. Owen tried to make peace with shawn but they just wanted to bury him. He was called a "nugget". In the match with shawn they potatoed Owen with the crutches. |

I thought Owen actually did leave (obvi not all the way to WCW) but returned a short while after.

he was under contract. Vince did allow him a couple of days off to get over Montreal but Owen was about 2 years in on a 5 year contract. Vince said "I'm not letting him go, I'll never let him go." to Bret on the phone when Bret told vince " If you have any integrity just let him go."
