It's not an easy world record to break. They certainly can pull it off, but they're going to have to earn it.

Rammsteinmad, checking in from Berlin
This is kind of what ruins Wrestlemania for me now. It's so far beyond Wrestling, that the actual quality of the show doesn't really matter anymore, it's all about the 'bigness' or the 'spectacle'. If they can fill out an arena and break a world record, then that will probably become a priority over actually making the show itself good. However, a Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara match would be pretty sweet. But would probably get knocked off the card or given three minutes. |

it would be a mainstream headline.
you know plenty of people in the building would refuse to do it just to be dickheads. or break them, or throw them, or some other stupid shit. does someone actually go around counting one by one to verify these records? that sounds mind-numbingly tedious and impossible. |

Mysterio vs. Cara seemed like a no-brainer the minute Cara debuted. The masks just add to the spectacle further.
Wouldn't be surprised if Mysterio "passes the torch" in the match. |

I pretty much agree with the people who say:
a) Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara was pretty obvious from the moment the WWE signed Sin Cara, and at WrestleMania the match would just be more special. b) People wearing masks would in no way hurt the event, and it'd actually be pretty cool, and get some publicity for the WWE, and get two of their potentially biggest merchandise movers some media attention. c) It will, however, suck when the WWE does a "Did You Know?" that points out that Rey Mysterio, Triple H and Sin Cara all hold Guinness World Records, and something about the WWE out-performing all other entertainment companies with that. |

If they're going to do a Mysterio/Sin Cara match at Mania any time soon, I would hope it would be a pasisng of the torch type match, where Rey would be on his way out of the company, and job to Sin Cara in a mask v. mask match.
What better way to give your successor the rub of a lifetime than to put him over in a match where, for the first time since 2002, you reveal your face to the fans who have followed since your WWE debut. It's too perfect to not execute. Rey goes out in a blaze of glory, and our faceless hero begins the next chapter in his career. |

I was thinking about the idea of Mask vs. Mask. I didn't end up mentioning it, because once Rey loses the mask, what do you think happens to his merchandise sales? The masks sell really well, don't they? I guess they can always keep the masks for sale, as a symbol for what Rey Mysterio has achieved throughout his career, etc. "I can't wear the mask, but you guys can!" That sort of shit.
The big reason I'd suggest Mask vs. Mask, is because that shit would just add drama, and make the match even bigger. It'd be the rave in Mexico, which have been supplying the WWE with a lot of business lately. |

Add Cody to the match, have them say the paper bags are masks and it's almost a guaranteed success.
