Really excited about the last two episodes. A little disappointed Isaak and co were seemingly brushed aside for the Hannah storyline, but it looks like the LaGuerta storyline will become the main part of the last couple of episodes now. Really hope he gets found out and is on the run in the final season. Would be a nice change of pace for the show I think.

The writers are doing a good job of squeezing in Jamie Batista bikini scenes into most episodes too.

So it doesn't matter if the character is shit as long as it's a 'beautiful woman' starring?
Shit, son. |

I want to see her naked. And the character isn't THAT shit. I mean, in comparison to Lumen she's incredibly complex and interesting.

I hope you're not mentioning Lumen in a "beautiful woman" kind of way.
Cause if you are, then your taste in women is awful. She looks like someone dropped a cartoon anvil on her face while she was laying on her back. |

No she's not attractive in the slightest. It would have helped her cause had she been even partially interesting.

I feel like this season won't end all neat and tidy like the previous seasons have. I hope I'm right.

Yeah, that's a definite possibility since they went into this season knowing 8 will be the last one and they already know how it's going to end

The ending to this season coulda worked for the final season perfectly. With Deb making the other choice though

I wasn't disappointed with the episode, but I was hoping for a bigger cliffhanger. As soon as Deb turned up I knew she'd kill Laguerta, and the fact Hannah escaped and wasn't found tells me next season will involve a major show down between the two to finish the show.

I loved the ending. Even though obviously she wasn't going to shoot Dexter, and I'd predicted La Guerta getting killed after about the second episode, I was still completely shocked when she shot her. Hate that I have to wait so long for the final season now, gonna be great.

I must say that I am glad that Batista did not somehow end up dead in this episode. Thought for sure that when he finally set the date for his retirement in the previous episode, that he was fated to die in the finale so someone could go "He was 2 days away from retirement!"

I guess they will kill him in the first episode of the new season, and someone will go "He was 2 days into retirement!"

Solid opener. Didn't quite pack the punch that previous first eps have, but good none the less. The Deb stuff has plenty of directions it could take so that's gonna be interesting. This Vogel lady should also be interesting, seeing as Dexter's had everything in the show other than a mother figure, although the whole "I know your secret, but its fine because killing bad guys is cool" thing is a bit played out, but whatever, lets see how it goes. The season has to end with him getting what's coming to him though, just seems the best way to end everything. They've kinda made him too much of a prick in the last few seasons not to go down that route. A scene with him having to look at Batista, Quinn, Vince etc in the eyes as they know what he is would be amazing.
Also, Jamie Batista nakedness. |

Got a feeling Vogel will have known Harry in the past somehow. Cool moment when during the briefing she kept looking toward Dexter n he got all paranoid.

I thought it was a given that she knew him and Harry based on that ending and "Coming up" promo

She was Harry's psychiatrist and helped him give Dexter a code to live by- she is his "mother figure".

Yessss, Hannah's back! This season's been moving along at a bit of a slow pace so far I've thought. I mean Dexter usually takes like 3 or 4 episodes each season to fully get going but we're up to episode 6 now and I can't really see what they're building towards. Kinda necessary to take things slow I guess, while they established what they were gonna do with Deb though.
Not feeling this "Zack" plot at all though. Might be that they went too extreme with the creepy looking kid, or that he's a bit of shit actor. Love Dexter's awkwardness around Hayley from One Tree Hill though |

I thought it starts in Autumn like all the other TV shows. Then again, I now got 6 episodes to watch without having to wait a week for each. |

If last week was the end of the whole brain surgeon killer angle, that seems rather anti-climactic. Unless they reveal that it was Vogel herself and she's just been manipulating everything and everyone.
