I think it's that Ryan Gosling look alike boyfriend of Cassie that killed her and is the brain surgeon. It'd be better if it was Vogel though.

Zach was starting to grow on me as well..was hoping he'd last longer.

Really, people here want Vogel to be the brain surgeon?

I thought that was too obvious at first. She really seemed like the bad guy immediately, and then she was put on the back burner. But it seems really obvious that she is the brain surgeon and not really that revealing of a twist, so I hope she isn't and that she is actually who she says she is.

Vogel has been exploring why Dexter has true emotional feelings even though he is supposed to be a psychopath. Maybe Dexter as himself is a normal guy and his dark passenger is the psychopathic split personality.

the obvious choice wouldn't bother me if it was interesting. it wouldn't be any worse than making it the boyfriend or some random character we still haven't met. give me the proper contect, and i would be all for it. i won't be bothered either way, i'm sure.

Really wish they'd drop the Vogel storyline though and just concentrate in whatever's gonna happen with Dexter, Deb and Hannah. Haven't really been interested all that much in Vogel from the start.

Today's episode was good. Vogel getting killed doesn't surprise me, but it came earlier than I thought. Next two episodes look like they're going to be epic.

This season has been so uninspiring. Could've been something great but its probably been one of the weaker seasons. Shame for the show to be going out with a whimper after it really picked back up last season.

Yeah, once I download an episode I kinda feel obliged to watch it more than looking forward to it. Kinda like "shit, I've been through so many seasons, I just have to finish this now".

Episodes with Hannah are so fucking boring. There's barely any killing these days, there's more of cuddling and romantic bullshit.

I feel obligated to continue to watch this show, especially with 2 episodes left. But every episode I watch I wish I stopped at Season 4 and called it a day. Dexter should have never done Season 2, as that is what this final season should be revolving around. Dexter isn't on the run or close to being caught, I think a season where Dexter world crumbles around him and everything he built up is at risk would be a much better season aka Season 2.

I'm glad some of you seem to still enjoy this series, but for me it's just been garbage lately. I liked some of the aspects of this season but overall it doesn't feel like there are only 2 episodes left. When The Shield was ending, those final 2 episodes were just intense as fuck. Dexter seems to be at the opposite spectrum.

Also hate how is isn't really a psychopath anymore. Liked him when he had no emotions and was all about just murdering people for enjoyment. Now it's some moral obligation for him to murder people as opposed to it being his high, his cum shot. I don't mind that he has relationship with his sister and Hannah and shit to an extent, but I liked Rita being purely a cover for the most part. He had some feeling for her at some psychopath level sure, but was for his true love killing people.

Pshh, season 1-4 are amazing. After that it wasn't as good but still great show and still is. All of Dexter and Breaking Bad are the best shows (or my favorite) out there now IMO up there in the same place with Twilight Zone, The Simpsons, Beavis and Butt-Head and Batman:TAS

How can you know that the 'twist' that ends the series is right when the series has not ended yet?

Also, don't answer that question because I didn't even want to know that there are rumors of a twist ending in the first place.

This final season has been one of my favorites. Can't wait to see how it ends. Dexter is definitely in my top 5 favorite shows of all time

Another huge resounding "meh" for this episode. I really don't see the point in them introducing so many new characters and give no reason to care about them. Through all the shows I've ever watched, this may be the weakest run in to a finale in my opinion.

Can't believe they pretty much just brushed the tension between Dexter and Deb away after a few episodes for Saxon to be the main plot. Really underwhelming.

I think you could probably just watch the last 5 minutes of every episode of this season and not miss a single thing.

My main gripe with the show though is just how sloppy the writing got with the Dexter character in general. He used to be so meticulous with everything he did, and now he's just like "oh you know what, I'm just gonna leave this guy who knows everything about me tied up for the police to deal with." Nothing will be as bad as the video message revealing everything about himself he sent to Colin Hanks in season 6 though.

This is a show that really should have only lasted for about five or six seasons. The writers have cried wolf way too many times and trivialized all of the other characters for the sake of Dexter that you no longer care what happens to anyone else on the show. I don't even care too much about what happens to Dexter at this point.

The whole thing should be revealed to be Harry imagining what his sons future will be, but he's growing slightly senile in his age and that's why the last few seasons have been a bit all over the place.
