It's pretty hard to say since a decade is a long ass time but I definitely don't think its a "WTF" pick. Who would you choose? Shaq? He's kinda fallen off towards the end.
Kobe played in 5 out of the 10 NBA Finals series during the decade and while Shaq dominated during the first 3 it's not Kobe was just out acting like a role player. I don't think Kobe is the hands down choice but I really can't think of a better one off the top of my head. |

lol @ Camby being pissed for going to Portland. You idiot, you're going to a playoff-caliber team.
Also, Kobe out again tonight. This might be more serious than Laker trainers thought. |

ROFLLL
I would definitely put Shaq as the player of the decade if he didn't drop off a bit towards the end. He was unreal in the early 2000's, on those Lakers teams he was the man no doubt about it, and Kobe was Pippen. Shaq also has the best line of the decade, "Kobe, tell me how my ass taste?" I'm not a Kobe fan at all, I actually think he's a clown for all the bullshit PR stuff he does now (like using his daughters for props or showcasing his wife that he cheated on) to make up for the fact that he banged a snow bunny in Denver and she bugged out. He's been pretty unreal on the court though for the last decade. Been hearing that Nate Robinson might be coming to the Celtics. Would hate to lose Eddie House but after watching him get abused by Darren Collison the game before the All-Star break I can see why this trade could happen. I'm assuming Robinson's D is much better? I haven't really seen him play very much to be honest. Last edited by Jesus Shuttlesworth; 02-17-2010 at 03:27 PM. |

I bet if the Lakers were 0-6 in the games he was out he would be back, but they've been playing pretty well so there's no point to rush back. |

Really hope he plays against Boston. It's a race to get home court throughout the playoffs basically, dunno if the Lakers can beat Boston without Mamba.

Was reading that the Knicks might have gotten a first round pick with House if that deals go through.
Pretty good if they can do that for Nate, who they were gonna lose at the end of the year anyway. Especially with that McGrady trade being rumored and draft picks probably going to Houston if that deal happens. |

3 team deal between Cavs, Wiz and a Western Conference team: Jamison, Ilgauskas, and Gooden all involved. No details yet.

Antawn Jamison is probably a better fit though.
I think Amare would have been the wrong move for basketball purposes. Last edited by McLegend; 02-17-2010 at 08:58 PM. Reason: I fucked up the word "basketball" I am an idiot, and Fuck you Ferret |

That's interesting he doesn't play any D though, there's gotta be a reason why they are looking to get him. Maybe they think he will be better at running the point or something, seeing how Eddie House can do really well is catch & shoot. I would rather have Jamison than Amare. I know Amare is an All-Star pretty much year in and year out but I just don't know how good he would be not playing in the Suns system. I think Jamison is a better fit for the Cavs. |

Apparently it might not be a pick and is House and Giddens instead. Not really sure what the point of the trade is for the Knicks if this is the case.

Yeah, Ant is pretty close to a 20 and 10 player on a team where for a really long time he was the ONLY offensive player. He'll fit well with that system.

Hmmmmmm not sure how I feel about Jamison and LeBron together.
Doesn't seem like it's gonna fit that well. Better fit than Amare, but still seems like an odd choice for the team. He's a damn good player though, don't get me wrong. |

Blatche went for 33/13 tonight vs the Timberwolves..don't know why they'd want Big Z.
Im reading several things that say the Wiz will buy out Big Z and he'll end up back with Cleveland. That makes ZERO sense. Last edited by Droford; 02-17-2010 at 09:48 PM. |

Maybe he has an expiring contract or something? I thought it was suppose to be House, Giddens AND the pick for Robinson. I've at least heard that once. Getting sick of the speculation though, just make the trade already lol |

Yeah, I think both House and Giddens are expiring contracts, although I think I heard one has a team option or something. If there's no pick it just seems like swapping expiring contracts which doesn't make a ton of sense for the Knicks since Nate's gone anyway. Either way this deal isn't really anything for the Knicks. Nate was fun to watch at times but he obviously wasn't gonna be here long term.
I just want the Knicks to deal Jeffries so they have the cap space for 2 max contracts next year. Nate doesn't really affect that unless he brings back a draft pick/bargaining chip. |

The Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement in principle with the Houston Rockets on a trade that will swap Kevin Martin for Tracy McGrady, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Along with Martin, the Kings will send Sergio Rodriguez, Hilton Armstrong and Kenny Thomas to the Rockets. Joey Dorsey and Carl Landry will go to the Kings. |

If I was Ainge, I'd be saving on the draft picks for bench building since last year's draft the Celtics only had 1 pick and ended up getting rid of the player a few months later and the other pick was given away from the 2007 KG deal.
The Cavs really benefited a lot from their trade since ESPN is saying they will get back Ilgauskas after 30-days since he was used more for making the salaries equal. |

NBCsports:
Nate Robinson did not play Wednesday against the Bulls due to flu-like symptoms, and if the reported trade sending him to the Celtics happens as expected, he could be in uniform for Thursday's game against the Lakers. He flew to L.A., and barring a huge surprise he'll be a Celtic come Thursday. Anything can happen between now and the trade deadline, but as the C's are constituted now, Nate-Rob projects to be a gunner off the bench -- and a poor man's Jamal Crawford sounds like a reasonable outlook. |

Heard Nate Robinson gets a 1million dollar bonus for being on a playoff team. No wonder why he waived his no-trade clause to go to the C's (and not try to force a trade to a team where he could get more PT)

T-Mac and LeBron wont be on the same team next year, that would be a waste of a starting spot on the roster, besides New York wont keep him, they want his expiring contract. And Lebron is staying in Cleveland.

Why? He has a team thats ready to win now built around him, where is he going to go that can afford him and then win? New York? I don't see New York even with LeBron contending anytime soon.
I think Wade, Bosh and James all stay. Wade is the most likely to leave. |
