Just because the Mark Gatiss episode was the crap one last series, doesn't mean it will be again this time.

Also, I don't see how you can't be looking forward to Night Terrors. The next time trailer looks really good.

I think it would have been kind of cool if they kept Mel around for a couple of episodes and then had her get shot and regenerate into brainwashed River Song.

No comments on this weeks episode?
I enjoyed it, even though it was a bit strange. I think we can all relate to the kid, as there is always at least one thing in a small childs room that scares the shit out of him or her. |

They didn't even mention the River issue, which I found odd. Decent enough "Monster of the Week" episode though.

I don't know. Just seemed like a shittier version of the Empty Child (great episode btw) meets Fear Her (horrible episode btw).
No more little kids with scary monsters in their closets/wardrobes (real or just in their head). The end scene in the Tardis saved it for me a bit though. Children's nursery rhymes are creepy. |

For people who are confused over this episode not seeming to "sit right", this episode was swapped in the running order with The Curse of the Black Spot, so it was written and shot as a first half episode.

Also, I liked the episode, but then I tend to like Mark Gatiss' attempts to mentally scar Britain's youth. Among the RTD era, this episode would have looked great. I think it's a consequence of Moff raising the bar. Resolution was a bit iffy, mind. Seemed to be rushed to keep the episode 45 minutes long, which is a shame since the pacing at the start was excellent.

Turns out I missed an episode that being A Good Man Goes To War I was under the impression that the Almost People P2 was the last one of the first half of the series no wonder I was a little confused.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be quite as good as it was.
I have high hopes for next week though. |

Type your spoiler inside that and get rid of the space in the tag. |

Eh... I'd be a little pissed too after 36 years. At least Rory knows his wife will age well. Ha!
Can't believe there's only 3 episodes left! |

If you haven't started watching Torchwood it should be enough to hold you over. It's based around Captain Jack and has a Martha Jones cameo in the second season. The first couple of seasons were good. The 3rd you'll either love or hate. The 4th was good as well although it does have an ending you'll either love or hate.

I wish Patrick Stewart had given Cordon a stone cold stunner. The bloke is an irritant.
