Yes, wtf was my exact reaction. Literally.
Good episode though. I really, really like the Silence. |

Really enjoyed the opening 2 episodes. The Silence were brilliantly put together/explained, etc. Could've maybe been 3 parts but i know that doesn't happen these days so not bothered.

I think the general arc is going to expand throughout the series as a whole anyway. I'm sure The Silence, River and the kid will all be back.

Aren't they suppose to reveal the whole River Song aspect this season?
In the first two episodes they have definietly made the doctor/river relationship more flirty, so it must be leading to something. |

My reaction at the end of the episode was holy shit. Loved the Silence and the cliffhanger with River at the end. They set up a nice arc involving Amy and the Doctor's relationship and whether the kid is theirs too.
Since they're doing 7 episodes and then a break I'm willing to bet that 7th episode is going to be epic based just on how the first 2 episodes have gone. |

MY THEORY ON THE LITTLE GIRL (SPOILER ALERT... MAYBE)
I believe that there was an episode during Donna's time with the Doctor where the Doctor explained that Time Lord/Human relationships don't work because human physiology can't handle it. I believe that the little girl will continue to die and regenerate because she is part human. I also think that the space suit they discovered that contained life support was specially built by the Silence to keep the little girl alive. This twist will probably reveal itself in the 7th episode cliff hanger. Just a theory... |

The 2nd episode was good very much opened the same way the first did but did it several times heh and a called the significance of the kid looks like they're already planning out a way to continue the series once The Doctor has reached the end of his final regeneration this is really the only viable solution when ya think of it.

The new episode was nothing special, except for a couple of things relating to the previous episodes.
The next episode looks more promising. |

Tonights episode was good for what it was, if that makes sense. Just basically filler for the series but entertaining still, imo.

Yeah I'm still about 6 hours out from watching the show, but the Doctor Who filler episodes are always entertaining so I'm looking forward to it.

Agree with what everyone else said. Fun and entertaining episode, but nothing amazing or big picture about it sans few moments.

That was definitely filler. Didn't like it as much as I thought it would based on the previews. Next weeks episode looks pretty epic though.

Not quite sure why some people are complaining about it, i think expectations were maybe set too high after the first two episodes. And the previews of this one.

Probably doesn't help that they swapped it about in the running order. It was originally meant to air as episode 9.
Alright episode in general though. I'm really looking forward to next week though. |

In hindsight it's a bit of a stupid reason - it was apparently because the episodes that were scheduled to be the first 4 all had too many inside, dark scenes so they wanted something with more exteriors.
Not sure how much sense that makes given that Curse of the Black Spot was set entirely at night, but oh well. |

I strongly disagree. Switched it off with 10 mins to go. Other one kept me interested though.

Have also read that some are saying this was the best 'stand alone episode ever' wtf? It was boringly predictable to me if anything.

I've still got five hours left. The previews made this episode seem like it was going to be pretty good. I'm looking forward to it.

You'll probably enjoy it. Personally i can't see what the fuss was about. Nothing 'big' actually happened. Was just another filler, to me. there was one bit with the corridor stuff with amy/rory that had my interest, but after that, i was like'yeah ok, here we go again'.

The pirates episode was better than I exepected it to be and the preview for tonights episode while the premise sounded good what they showed didn't really wow me.

So now that I've watched the episode I must say it was nothing to write home about in fact I thought it was falsely advertised and next weeks episode looks pretty crappy imho.

I'm not looking forward to next week much. It's a two parter written by the guy responsible for one of the worst episodes of the modern series (Fear Her from series 2).
Who knows though, maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise. |

Call me crazy, but I liked this episode much better than the pirate one. It was entertaining seeing the Tardis personified.
I do agree that next week's episode looks terrible and if it's a two parter that means 2 episodes of crap, then the mid-season finale before the show goes on hiatus. |

Must say that it was better than I thought it was going to be but the conclusion of it was so utterly predictable and the the hints were so unneccessary to boot hope the 2nd part can deliver.

I enjoyed this episode. The hints were maybe over done, but in general this might be my 3rd fave episode of the season, right after the first two premier episodes.

Not sure why you've suddenly gone a week behind. |
