That's probably why they padded out the first ten minutes with Miiverse and 98% of the game info was basically "It exists but we can't show it yet.".

Oh yeah, pretty much. I much prefer to know that this shit is happening rather than the original plan of only announcing things when they were close. The things that talked about in that respect though were things we all assumed were being worked on. Then Yarn Yoshi was nice, Wind Waker remake was amazing and I'm thinking YOU KNOW, HOT LINE-UP, WILL KISS MY WII U WHEN I GET HOME.

Then Iwata said "Oh yeah, one more thing. Here's a couple of other games". SMT X FE & MONILOTHSOFT BOOM MEGATON DROPPED

I didn't really care about the whole FE thing or that X game, whatever it's called.

I was happy to hear about WW HD and to get confirmation that new Mario, Mario Kart & Zelda games are being made.
I'm sure Yoshi Yarn will be fun but I think they should have avoided the yarn look. That's like having the new Mario done in Wind Waker style.

Aw man. I didn't think it was that because it was called Mario & Yoshi over here. At least on my GB version.

I think it will have multi-player parts, but it looks like a spin on Monster Hunter. If it has an over-arching story too like previous Xeno games, then I cannot wait at all.

I miss Nintendo revealing games with exciting trailers like the original Twilight Princess or Brawl trailers.

Well for people like Nintendo it may actually not be a big deal. Who knows what type of shit they have playtesting in R&D since WiiU came out. They don't have a pulse on industry standards but hell if they're not the finest, purist game makers in the world.

No doubt they make great games. I'd just enjoy the revealing of Yarn Yoshi more if it was done with a coulourful, cute trailer with bouncy Disney-esque orchestral music.

Reavealing it with a short clip of Yoshi running across the screen and jumping on an enemy while we get spoken to like we're at a board meeting isn't as fun.

I don't care if I'm almost 25, I still love Nintendos trailers and I'm sure I'll continue to even when I'm turning 65.

According to Crystal Dynamic the reason for no Wii U version of the upcoming Tomb Raider game is because they didn't want to "half-ass" the port and couldn't think of anything unique to use the Gamepad for. PC version won't have anything special either and might be a straight console port.

How is the Wii U? Contemplating buying my gf one. She loves her Wii, really into Mario and Zelda. Not into first person shooters or sports games. Is it worth investing in?

It's a good system, but you've only really got New Super Mario and Nintendo Land so far. Pikmin, Wario and The Wonderful 101 are out by summer and all look brilliant. Then we've got a gap and the only game I know of that is out this year that I'm looking forward to is Zelda: Wind Waker HD. The controller is also the best TV remote ever now TVii is out.

I wouldn't expect a price drop until the end of the year, but if you pick one up, get a deluxe one. The extra cost is worth it for Nintendo Land alone.

Konami revises their "no chance" stance for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance having a Wii U port. The new official stance is they won't consider working on one until there is enough demand for one to be made.

Its also rumored Platinum Games wants to work on a Wii U version since they've gotten a bit cozy with Nintendo recently but Konami doesn't (or won't fund it).

According to Nintendo, the scanning or NFC feature that would let you scan items and have them show up in games is going to take a lot longer to finish than Nintendo expected. Its also a big reason why Rayman Legends won't have the feature possible since not even Ubisoft could get a working version done for Nintendo in time.

Rayman Legends no longer a Wii U exclusive and even though the game was supposed to be released this month, Ubisoft is delaying the game till September 2013 in order for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to be released at the same time.

A lot of 360/PS3 games are getting delayed to September and the announcements seem to be coming around the same time.

An idiotic conspiracy nut might say this hints at the new Xbox and PS4 coming out in September and the big games being held back to become launch games.

Nintendo announces a ZombiU deluxe bundle is arriving on Februrary 17 for North America. The bundle costs $390 and comes with the Deluxe version of the Wii U, Nintendo Land, ZombiU, a Pro Controller, an art book for ZombiU, and a commentary disc from the ZombiU developers.

Internal rift involving Ubisoft got a bit more interesting as the developers of Rayman Legends, Ubisoft Montpellier have joined a small protest against Ubisoft themselves. Besides members of the studio, several fans of the Rayman series, and even the creator of Rayman joined the protest.

Sega denies recent rumors of Aliens Colonial Marines being cancelled for the Wii U although the game appears to have been delayed "indefinitely" with the small possibility of the Wii U version fixing most of the issues plagued with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
