Sting posted the following on his Facebook this morning:
"Mourning the loss of Jim Hellwig. I don't believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling. Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided. I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers." He also posted this photo on his Twitter: |

Warrior got a proper, and full, chance to make peace with everybody in WWE, and a chance to give a proper farewell to us all.
Thank God he did. Warrior will be forever loved for being willing to always giving 200% in what he did, and for treating the fans with respect and appreciation, giving us positive messages to inspire us all, and to say, in his own intense way, 'Thank You'. To him, it was all about the fans in the stands, even if it meant that he had to rub some people within the WWF/WWE the wrong way. He suffered no fools, and kept everyone in the locker room honest with themselves at all times. He also was not afraid to take action, when he saw any talent being selfish at the expense of the fans, like when he called Triple H to task before WrestleMania XII, and telling him to be a man, to be up front with people in the locker room, and not to go sniping about things behind other wrestlers' backs. To Warrior, The Ultimate Warrior, even though I am not someone who's ever been in a gym much, on the physical side of life, I do thank you for helping me be a more honest person with others I interact with, and to cut out ALL bullshit I see around me. Thank You, Warrior, and may you find the Macho Man waiting for you at the Gorilla Position, to welcome you into The Eternal Squared Circle, where you will entertain the biggest audience of all. To Warrior's family, nothing but love and comfort for you right now. You had a good household mentor in Warrior, and I hope that you can continue his legacy of positivity and truth, and to NEVER settle for second best in life. Pound your chests with pride in who you are. And to any remaining critics of Warrior, I implore you to forgive him now. He made his peace with those with whom he had controversy in the past, Hulk Hogan included. I want all the stupid memes about Warrior to stop too. It's time for you critics to grow up, and be more mature people. May We ALL Always Believe! Take care on the other side, Warrior, and go get all the legends you're now a part of, and give them a gorilla press slam, and Warrior splash for us all! =) |

Was wondering if Punk has made a public statement as of now since he is a fan of the Warrior (as per his documentary).

WWE execs and producers are rushing to put together two special tributes for Ultimate Warrior ... the first of which is just a few days away. WWE sources tell TMZ ... next week's "Monday Night RAW" episode will memorialize Warrior with much more than the standard blank screen R.I.P. given to most wrestlers who pass away. We're told producers are still working out details of the show -- but it will most likely showcase U.W.'s most memorable moments ... as well his final appearance in the ring last week in New Orleans The WWE is also putting together a special that will air on its network next Wednesday, tentatively titled, "Warrior: The Ultimate Legend." |

I wonder how WWe would have dealt with his death if it happened a year ago..
I really don't think they'd have done anything more than the standard PR show graphic. |

I was thinking about that trailer a few days ago. Then I realised this:
Savage and Vince/WWE are on bad terms with each other and Savage isn't seen on WWE television for years. Suddenly, he promotes an upcoming WWE game (All Stars) and things begin to look up for their relationship and the future. Savage then has a heart attack and dies. Warrior and Vince/WWE are on bad terms with each other and Warrior isn't seen on WWE television for years. Suddenly, he promotes an upcoming WWE game (2K14) and things begin to look up for their relationship and the future. Warrior then has a heart attack and dies. |

Wow. I'm still really sad about this, I probably always will be when it comes to mind. I'm so sad that we will be depraved of all the gold that could have come from Warrior in 2014. That video for WWE 2k14 is hilarious.

Your crack about what she said, and the type of comments you made about her, shouldn't be tolerated here. I do NOT find what you said funny AT ALL about it. You are expected to show a lot more discretion in your comments at this rather un-settling time for her and her family. And tough shit for you if you don't like what I said about that. You're wrong to call me out, on me calling absolute bullshit on what you said, and you know it. Be a real man(if that's what you are, which I doubt), and apologize. Asswipe. > = ( |

Your original post came off to some as calling her something like a “psycho bitch” or anything else offensive along those lines. You have to be more careful how you word posts in threads likely to be loaded with emotion, dude. That’s all I’m saying. I’m sure you’re not some horrible monster but COME ON! Did you really not see that maybe, just MAYBE, somebody might take offense at how you worded that?!

I believe Warrior knew he was going to die so he made peace with WWE, signed the contract and entered the Hall. Probably knew he had less than a year left, but dying the day after Raw was freaky.

Look... she married a guy who was pretty far out to lunch, allowed her name to become "Dana Warrior," and channeled his promo style in a message to his fans following his death. I'm sure she's a lovely person and I wish her nothing but sympathy and consolation in her time of grief, but let's not ignore reality here. It clearly takes a special kind of person to be Mrs. Warrior.
