Thor's my boy but that panel settles it far as I'm concerned.

Thor is one of the very few guys in the Marvel universe who could keep up with Superman in a straight-up brawl for a good while. However, my money's still on Supes in the long run. I can't recall Thor ever moving planets around or palming a black hole in his hands.
Thor would make a great match-up for Wonder Woman, though, considering they're both immortal warrior gods and all. |

I imagine most people wouldn't pair Thor with 'a girl', even if that girl is one of the few people who could punch Superman and he'd feel it.

Aren't Thors powers magical in nature?

Thor's Electricity are magic (this is how he can creat storms in space for example) so THOR. Easy. Summor thunder Supe goes boom.

Superman's fought Captain Marvel a bunch of times, and he's all about magical lightning (and proper magical-magic, none if this "extra-dimensional pseudoscience babble that stupid humans just call magic" stuff Marvel does), and he's survived and won before. It hurrts him, sure, but hardly a game-ender.
And unless Thor can whip up lightning more powerful than a major supernova, which Supes has lived through before, he's not "going boom" any time soon. |
