Access music collection on PC via Android?
I'm currently planning to install a virtual machine server on my PC to serve up multimedia to laptops etc on the local network. I know what I need to do for the PCs, but what's a good solution for accessing the files (mostly concerned with the music, nothing else) via Android? I know that Google Play is an option, but as far as I know you can only stream in shit quality and the vast majority of my collection is 192-320.

Have you tried prayer? The good lord Jesus Christ will show you the path to streaming.

LOL. I was gonna suggest connecting via a bluetooth dongle, but I'm not sure how that'd work. Was thinking of trying it myself.

I'd like to say bluetooth. Besides that, no idea.

I set up PS3 Media Server for my PS3, but it works on both of my older Android devices. Haven't tried it on my S3 yet, because I think staring at a 4" screen is retarded and I only have it set up for video....

Google Play doesn't change the quality of your songs, since it uploads the exact files you have and doesn't just "match" them or anything like that. And you can tell it to always stream in high quality regardless of your connection.

I use ES File Explorer to connect to my home network and stream video.
