Lol ok. So below is a trailer for the Timeline 1983 Don Muraco DVD that I bought like 4 years ago. I hadn't even heard of the Snuka incident prior to watching this. I just couldn't believe how this just went away. Anyways, like i said, it's a clip, not the full interview, but check out Muraco's reaction when questioned about it. Pretty interesting. SOMETHING happened. I can't say 100% for sure, but there's definitely a lot more to this story.

It's pretty widely recognized that Snuka had a lot of issues, and as the night would go on he'd reach a "crazy place." Even without any sort of evidence, I can imagine a lot of the boys would have felt uncomfortable about her death.

I would think alot of the boys would feel more uncomfortable if vince helped cover it up. Too many guys have burned their bridge with vince and would have went public with that info if it was common knowledge.

Muraco literally said in that video "whatever the statements say" as his response. That's a dead giveaway that something was up there to me.

There's a difference between being suspicious of a situation and having actual knowledge. Plus, if Buddy Rogers witnessed Snuka making out with a corpse, I can imagine that Snuka didn't have the most...sane reputation.

He wrestled barefoot, sandals is quite a step up from walking down the aisle with no shoes. What you mean "pretending" he didn't speak english, she never saw a snuka interview. He was no good with the American language

WWE gave Snuka the "Hogan" treatment by removing his profile from their official Hall of Fame website.

Yep each year would be dedicated to giving Trple H larger ceremonies and even more garish awards.
HOF is gonna be empty at this rate since the WWE assumes all their inductees carry themselves like saints or that their past deeds will remain in the past. |

Looks like Snuka is getting the full Hogan treatment with getting scrubbed out of a lot of stuff.

I don't think they need to act like "saints" but as a publically traded company with a hall of fame that's completely subjective, distancing themselves from certain things make perfect sense...and certain "deeds" are a little more undertandable and tolerable than others...

I just get the odd feeling that whether Snuka is actually guilty or not that there's such a huge chance that a lot of the prosecution's case may rest on circumstantial evidence and possibly witnesses called that may not be completely credible after 32 long years, that any Grand Jury in the land might well find themselves hard pressed not to return a not guilty verdict or to not return from deliberations as a hung jury.
I'm not saying I know exactly what evidence and witnesses and possibly experts might be shown by the defense and the prosecution. I'm saying IMHO that I think from the outset of the trial the huge burden of proof will rest squarely on the prosecution's shoulders. I could be wrong. But one thing I do know is this: it will be one HELL of an intriguing trial. |

There's a reason why a cold case gets reopened after 30+ years, and it usually isn't circumstantial evidence.

I was listening to Court Bauer's podcast, and he said he talked to some legal people, and they said it might be a hard case to make. That being said, I can't see it being re-opened without there being more to this.
I mean, the death was declared a homicide, and there was a history of abuse on this woman. If abuse killed her? Fuck, I'd probably come down as guilty if I were in the jury. I mean, who else was abusing Jimmy Snuka's girlfriend besides Jimmy Snuka? I'm intrigued to see how this affects Vince McMahon, to be honest. I know he's a grandfather and a human being and all that, but if he helped to cover this up? Fuck again. |

And the thing is this: There's no big surprise here. The most shocking thing about it is that someone finally said "Wait, this is fucked" and are doing something about it. The WWE inducted Snuka into the Hall of Fame knowing too well who he was and what he was about.

I worded this poorly, granted. What I meant was that Snuka is not going to come across as sympathetic if the link between abuse and it being a causal factor in Nancy Argentino's death is established.
