This is like 06 all over again. Hopefully the Tigers can at least win a game. Such a let down so far.

Series is not as good as over, but looks like the team with the better record and that clinched their division 8 games sooner but was somehow still the underdog has a two games to none lead. I mean, THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!

Yeah, that’s not going to happen VC. I guarantee that being in Comerica for the time being will be just what the doctor ordered. It’s no secret that Detroit has played horribly on the road all season (with the one major exception being the A.L.C.S.) and won a ton of games at home. I don’t see this ending in less than 6, and I still believe in my Tigers.

An article I found interesting. Looks at how accurate a teams accumulated WAR for 2012 matched up with their actual results. Overall, WAR was pretty reliable, sand a couple of over achieving teams, of course. |

But we've seen teams with long layoffs struggle in the World Series so many times before. Could see it ending in 5 but I certainly hope not. |

Detroit should have a better chance today considering weather might be a factor (mid to low 40s) which benefits them a bit more than San Fran.
Although Detroit's problem has been their strong offense basically no showed the first two games while San Fran has been a beast on offense since Game 5 against the Cards. |

Watch Mike Ilitch hit the panic button and sign Josh Hamilton or something because he's so desperate to get Detroit a title before he dies.

Really can't see Detroit winning a game anymore. Giants are just too hot. It's Red Sox/Rockies all over again.

Tonight, they should send the Tigers home and see if the Toledo Mudhens could do any better. They def can't do any worse. What a lousy World Series.

So, who gets the MVP? Pablo? Posey? Scutaro? Romo? Zito?
Or does a game 4 performance sway the vote? |

I've got nothing against the Giants but I'd absolutely love to hear a Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo meltdown if they pulled the biggest choke job in baseball history.
Ain't gonna happen though. The Giants' pitching is ridiculous. |

In Detroits defense, their starting pitching hasn't been bad at all. Fister and Sanchez turned in gems. But their bats were somehow left back in the ALCS.

Hopefully Scherzer throws a real "diamond in the rough" kind of game and we get a shit-ton of run support behind him. It's the only way we really have even the slightest glimmer of hope to even push this bad boy to a game 5 at this point. And SK said something else that was exactly what I was thinking...'06 all over again. Except so far we're down 3-0. At least the '06 team won ONE game. If we can't match that, then (I hate to say this, BUT...) the Tigers really are pathetic. Add to all this the fact that no team in World Series history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to erase it and then win a game 7 to capture the World Championship and you've got a sure-fire recipe (at least right now) for |

Yeah I don't buy the whole rust thing. Maybe for 1 game I would accept it, but not the whole series.

I’m not saying it’s entirely rust though. I did say we needed to start getting more run support.
Even if we do though, it’s 99.99875% guaranteed to be the ’06 World Series scenario all over again...assuming we even win one game. |
