Candlebox/Mid 90's Ruled
Remember them and thier song "Far Behind." Good times. I loved that era. I posted this because I'm listening to that song
Did they have another hit? Last edited by Loose Cannon; 07-22-2005 at 10:08 PM. |

Candlebox had another popular song titled "You". And yes I recall both of the bands you mentioned.
Remember, the presidents of the united states of america, and their tracks "Lump" and "peaches"? Ahh the mid 90's. |

yea, the Presidents were great. How about Soul Asylum? I have all their albums. And the Butthole Surfers and Primative Radio Gods. Man, everything is coming back to me. Let's just name all those mid 90's bands in here. |

Yeah the live version of "You" is awesome. "Far Behind" is one of my all-time favorite songs. Love the way it starts.

Indeed. Also, how about Collective Soul, and their hits "December" and "Gel" which was on that Jerky boys album.

Are we just mentioning the moderately succesful mid 90's bands here? Or stuff from that era, that aren't as popular today? Like Live etc...cuz "Throwing Copper" was a hot album.
The Cranberries also stood out. And I recall hearing that Joan Osborne "what if god was one of us" song often on the radio, on the schoolbus. |

How about Soul Asylum - Runaway Train? Or how 'bout Oasis - Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova? Pretty good songs there.

One word...Temple of the Dog. That was early 90's/late 80's though. The one album is way better than Candlebox. And I like Candelbox too.
How about ChumbaWumba |

"Hunger Strike" by Temple Of The Dog is awesome by the way. I love that song (Even though I can't stand Chris Cornell). |

Then we should also mention Mad Season, Layne Staley's other band besides AIC. "Wake Up" was an awesome song.

Candlebox was amazing. Cake was good too.

Strange that, I've always heard Candlebox being described as utter crap. Not sure if I've actually heard them though.
Can't go wrong with Failure as far as mid-90s bands go. |
