WWE.com has just received word that the new Intercontinental Champion will be defending the gold against the former champion when Shelton Benjamin battles Chris Jericho this week on Monday Night RAW. Last week at Taboo Tuesday, Edge became one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. The only catch was that he wasn't even in the building. An upset Edge left the arena during his match, forcing Chris Benoit to battle La Resistance by himself. Amazingly, Benoit pulled off the victory.
