so, how much is 2gb?
Was looking into adding the Verizon hot spot to my phone and getting rid of my cable modem at home... but they bill you after 2gb of use... can someone give me a rough idea of how much/what usage this is?

That is usually upload as well as download so it runs out real fast under broadband. Forget downloads, if you are on the net for about 2 hours a day streaming a few youtube videos, checking email etc then your 2GB is gone before you notice it.

2GB is just over downloading 3 movies that are 700mb each. A 720p youtube video is around 50mb I think and 480p is a little less. I'm not sure. So that's probably 40 HQ videos on youtube.
Right now mobile broadband is best suited for occasional internet use or just web browsing, email and instant messaging. Isn't there an unlimited plan for $40 a month under Verizon? |
