1 - Not a supposed cut. It's totally legit. Only thing Ken Shamrock could have done was get it cleaned and glued it shut and tried to keep it secret.

And the commission wouldn't let him fight because he already got 4 fat stiches in it right? Or thats what i've been lead to believe.... I'm not toally sure on that.

You know, why would a man who has been fighting for like, 20 years, and weighs 206 fully clothed for his fight against Kimbo choose to go and get it stiched, and then go to the commission with a booboo, rather than use the oldest, (and most effective in the situation) trick in the book?

That is why I question it all.

And the weigh in was the most stupid thing i've ever seen.

And also... Andrei would be mad to have taken it, even though the offer wasn't there. I mean, he trained to fight a specific guy. It would suprised me if he has ever even bothered his arse to watch Tank Slice show him absolutely nothing he would ever have to know unless he was fighting him..

Anyone thinking Ken Shamrock chickened out is insane. He trained for months and had every chance of beating Kimbo on national TV in a make or break fight and he was gonna make huge money. He has fought better guys who were going to guaranteed smash him (Tito Ortiz for example) and he showed up and in wicked shape.

Seriously, when you're panicking, you don't think straight. He probably didn't even think about glue until it was brought up on TV. And even if he did glue it, if the commission spotted it then it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I'm actually embarrassed to be an MMA fan after that show. Dana White just came off like the biggest fucking hypocrite of all time. He looked like a bigger retard than Shane and Junie. Absolutely no excuses for not kicking both of those motherfuckers off the show immediately.

Efrain had the right attitude the whole time. The "fuck with me now, because when the time comes, I'm gonna hand your ass to you" attitude. Triangle from the Top was sick and Efrain seems to be one of these guys you can coach to greatness.

Krystov is a joker, but he's level headed and I hope he goes far.

Junie can die for all I care. I compared him to the Diaz brothers (which isn't a compliment), then I realized that's an insult to Nate and Nick. Junie better get over his Napolean Complex, because I'm sure Efrain CAN beat him, too. That is, of course, if he even stays in the house long enough to fight.

That's the part I didn't get.. I mean, getting drunk and being an asshole is one thing, but to then get up in a guys face right after a fight, in front of athletic commission guys, judges, and your boss who just gave you a second chance was retarded and I hope they do kick him off..

Not argueing (sp) the point (imo he should get kicked off...though I wouldn't mind seeing someone kick the shit outa him first) but as I said supposebly that's the reason...though it's almost certainly for rating value more than anything...

The docs check you before you come out to the ring. You could use all the glue in the world and it would still clearly be a fresh cut. Thats why guys that say they cant close their hands when the punch because they broke it while training are full of shit because the docs check that specifically.

Its not that the organizations or commissions really care about the fighters safety like they say but rather if they let a guy in the ring with a fresh cut and something really bad happens to him because of the cut, then they are liable for it and everyone in attendance and watching on the tv are witness to it. that would be killer for elite xc.

Also Shamrock is actually a big man. Hes much heavier than 205.

Well, using all the glue in the world would make it stand out a bit. A subtle amount was more what I had in mind

In truth though, it was pretty obvious due to where it was, but Tyson, for instance got both of his eyes glued before his Lewis fight, so it was surely worth a go?

Ken weighed in at 206.5 the day before the fight, fully clothed, and he had no reason in the world to cut weight.

I was thinking the same thing, but a guy like Forrest Griffin wouldn't be scared to fight twice in 60 or 90 days..

I mean alot of these guys used to fight multiple times in one night..

I really don't go for rankings.. Specially overall rankings.. I mean, how do you compare a guy like Urijah Faber to Fedor and vice versa..

Yeah, Forrest wouldn't be scared, but he will probably be on medical suspension after the fight, which could fuck everything up.

To pull it off, they would have to protect all their champions for at least 3 months prior.

Also, I meant weightclass rankings, not P4P. I just don't think Sherdog is a true reflection of results and performance, just who they think is good right now.

I usally look at MMAWeekly's rankings... However, I make my own rankings as nerdy as that is. I'm still working out the kinks in my ranking system.

Thinking about UFC 100 another reason that might not happen is time restraints..

At UFC 33 they had 3 title fights that all went the distance.. Sure Pulver, Tito, and Menne aren't "finishers like Nog, Forrest, and Penn..

I don't think they'll do more than three or maybe four title fights..

Pretty excited tonight, we're running (well, Carolina Fight Promotions) the 5th card in Raleigh since we legalized MMA. 14 cards, I'm cornering two of the guys from out camp tonight. Met Matt Sera last night too (he's the special guest for the event). Gonna be fun. Also, I got cleared by our athletic commission to start fighting again.

Absolutely will not happen. If they did 5 title fights in one night, there is a very good chance the show could go over 3 hours for a start and you wouldn't have a title shot in your next 2 or 3 PPV's minimum. Maybe more. And how do you decide what title fight is main event? I'd be pissed if I'm Anderson Silva, Big Nog, Forrest Gump, GSP or BJ Penn and I had to go first.

Personal hope says Mir, but beyond that I think if they have Couture/Lesnar vs Nog/Mir before than I don't see Nog beating either of them either. Yes, I know Lesnar is green as hell and prone to getting tapped by someone that fuckin good on the ground.
