Good topic. Unfortunately the 00's weren't nearly as good as the 90's for movies but still a lot of quality stuff out there. So yeah in no particular order except for #1 which might be the most powerful film I've ever seen. And I'm sure this list is wrong because I'm forgetting something
1. City of God 2. Snatch 3. Finding Nemo 4. The Departed 5. Big Fish 6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 7. V For Vendetta 8. Gladiator 9. Memento 10. 40 Year Old Virgin 11. Mystic River 12. Catch Me If You Can 13. Casino Royale 14. Punch Drunk Love 15. Batman Begins 16. The Dark Knight 17. Little Miss Sunshine 18. American Psycho 19. Mulholland Dr. 20. Almost Famous Still haven't seen No Country For Old Men |

Also, gonna draw some heat here but I thought Batman Begins was as good or better than the Dark Knight.

I thought BB was a better movie. Dark Knight is pretty overrated outside of the performances in it. |

Roger Ebert posted his top 10 of the decade on his website.
1. Synecdoche, New York 2. The Hurt Locker 3. Monster 4. Juno 5. Me and You and Everyone You Know 6. Chop Shop 7. The Son 8. 25th Hour 9. Almost Famous 10. My Winnipeg http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2009...he_decade.html Surprised about his number 1 choice, although I can't comment on the film itself as I haven't seen it yet, haven't seen number 2 as well. The only movie on the list I don't like is Juno. I didn't think 25th Hour was all that great either. |

Anything part of a series I bundled together otherwise it would have been rather difficult to narrow it down good thing you didn't include 99.

star wars episode 3 rocked.
Do not agree with Chicken Little however. I'm formulating my list. |
