It's not just the jumping issue, game is totally locking up now if any fireball collides with Rolento's knife. That won't be fixed for at least 2 weeks.
It's pretty hilarious. |

They fixed the jumping issue last week.
That set is godlike. Don't know if I'll bite, though... |

Damn it capcom. It's probably my favorite fighting game this gen but they've driven everyone on my friends list away with their bullshit. Going to have to check in with 2old2play.

I'd be online more often with you and Khuntry but offline games dominate here (and now we have a Wii). SFxT is pretty big here, maybe the only fighting game that gets everybody involved competitively.
Trying to get online more often for SFxT, SoulCalibur V, and Battlefield 3. |

Probably should've checked this before I posted that set in the SFxT thread.
Anyways, didn't even know it was in development, but the Shadow of the Colossus film will be helmed by Josh Trank (Chronicle) |

Ubisoft could be planning on making an Assassin's Creed MMO game based on rumors of their Ubisoft Massive studio currently working on a brand new next-gen MMO project.
The studio posted job offers looking for people with experience in making open-world MMO type games with a strong emphasis on player vs player combat. While it wasn't explicitly stated to be related to an Assassin's Creed game, Ubisoft has mentioned in the past they want the series to be an annual one and are always looking at new ideas and ways to continue the series. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...-creed-online/ _______________________________________________________ Daily Recap: 1) According to Take-Two's financial outline for the current fiscal year, Grand Theft Auto V is expected to arrive before April 2013. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...re-april-2013/ 2) Gamestop announces they are starting their own annual expo set as a 1 day event this year on August 29 at San Antonio, Texas. http://kotaku.com/5912632/gamestop-i...ition-in-texas 3) A judge for the ITC (International Trade Commission) recommended the sales ban for the Xbox 360 to be upheld globally with the ITC itself to announce a decision on August 23 and President Obama having the choice of upholding the decision or vetoing it within 60 days later for the US. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...ent-violation/ |

As well as that, Bioshock Infinite was said to be pushed back to make way for GTA in October. Take Two (who own 2K games) wouldn't want to release two massively popular games in the same month, would they? |

Newly revealed "odd" details regarding Activision's contract with Bungie were discovered as part of the larger contract leak which occurred recently.
Besides Easter Eggs which have to be revealed to Activision, Bungie is only allowed to target the T rating for their Destiny project and can't officially release any games that are not from the Destiny series until 2018. Another odd revelation was a clause preventing Valve, Gearbox, or Epic Games from helping out in any way with the Destiny series be it as actual development help or distribution. While Bungie owns the IP series, another clause actually limits their ownership until 2022 with only Activision determining when the games can be officially published and released. Once 2022 arrives, Bungie has the option to find a new publisher or publish the games themselves if they reject all attempts to extend the contract with Activision. The biggest benefit for Bungie is full access of Activision's marketing power and the automatic promotion of the Destiny series to be seen as equal to the Call of Duty series in terms of funding for development and pre-release hype. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...tiny-contract/ ________________________________________________________________ Daily Recap: 1) There are some conflicting reports to the extend of the shutdowns but as of now 38 Studios and Big Huge Games have shut down with everyone laid off. http://www.giantbomb.com/news/report...re-staff/4172/ 2) CD Projekt RED, developer of The Witcher series, teases a huge announcement will arrive next week with the strong possibility of The Witcher 3 getting an official debut. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...ent-next-week/ 3) Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto was recently awarded the "The Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities " award for his contributions in the video game industry and the iconic status achieved by his creations. http://www.screwattack.com/news/shig...asturias-award |

They laid off theirs and all of Big Hugh Games employee's yesterday. And if they do close down, which seems highly likely, the people of Rhode Island will basically own the rights to the Amular series until the state government sells it off.

Bunch of employees at 38 studios thought the company had sold their homes, but have just been told that they're liable for the mortgages on them.

Based on recent patent leaks, Sony could be toying around with the idea of possible implementing a new advertising system which would automatically pause whatever game or service is being used in order for an ad to pop up and play on the screen.
The user would have no control over when the ads would appear nor any way to stop them until it finishes. The only warning will be another pop up warning the player their game will be interrupted soon for a paid advertisement to be shown. Quote:

More fallout from the 38 Studios meltdown.
Employees who were laid off who sold their homes to the company so they can relocate from wherever to Rhode Island, got calls from their bank saying the house was still in their name and that the mortgage is due. There's talk that 38 Studios didn't buy the houses at all. Laid off, you MAY have 2 houses in your name, and the mortgage is due. If this turns out to be true, I'll bet Schilling will be hit with one biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig lawsuit. |

Most sources I use for the daily news seem to be implying towards that type of idea being used. Had to search if Sony ever tried something similar and it appears to be an expanded version of what was done with Wipeout HD.
The patent itself has the chart of what would occur if it was actually done as well. |

The patent is about all the concrete news there is. Saying "sony is considering" anything is rumour at best, and even that, it takes a LOT of liberty with it.
