wonder if Piper is regretting opening the Zeeboe door yet
Zeeboe Gil @ @IrishGypsySoul @R_Roddy_Piper - Roddy Piper theme music for your doorbell. Now THAT is a real Father's Day gift & every boy's nightmare! 52 seconds ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - Why not also hand them a piece of paper that reads: The following is a short list of things I cannot do: . 1 minute ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - LOL. "You don't throw rocks at a man with a coconut!" 5 minutes ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - If I'm a boy taking your daughter out on a date, & you're lecturing me while holding a coconut, I'd probably start crying! 10 minutes ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - LOL. When you read those boys their rights for dating your daughters, I think you should have a coconut in your hands. 12 minutes ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - I pity the fool who has to ask Mr. Piper's permission to take his daughter out on a date! I would not wanna be that guy! 16 minutes ago Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - lol. Wouldn't it be funny if when the boy rings your doorbell, he hears your theme music. That'd be scary for him I bet! 17 minutes ago » Zeeboe Gil @ @R_Roddy_Piper - Because they have a perfect Dad! Just think about how great it will be when you do see them again. Fun fact I learned recently: Did you know Chyna was at one point considered to face Stone Cold for the WWE Title @ Summerslam 1999?

Not surprising, really. I mean, she WAS in the main event that year anyway.

Wait, no she wasn't, Triple H was.
Didn't they do Foley vs. Austin vs. Chyna at one point? |

*RANDOM THOUGHT ALERT*
This past Monday on RAW and now announced for this Friday's SD! was/will be a six man tag-team match; Bryan, Jackson, & Sin Cara vs. Barrett, Rhodes, & Dibiase. IMO, this match is made up of six people that the WWE or the IWC wants to get over badly, but can't. I know a lot of you love some of those guys, the bottom line is that none of them have drawn in the 'E' and IMO won't draw (this point could be debated). I would not be surprised if in a year or two from now five or maybe all six will no longer perform for the WWE. I bring this up because I feel bad when I see guys getting continual TV time and prolonged pushes despite complete crowd apathy (Drew Mac anyone), I feel that in time these six will fall in that category, if they aren't there already. *RANDOM THOUGHT ALERT* |

She took part in a complicated series of matches to determine the #1 contender for the WWF title for SummerSlam '99, but I didn't know that she was ever seriously considered to win it.

That was pretty stupid booking on the WWF's part. They had hyped the shit out of Stone Cold Vs. Triple H on MTV and pretty much anywhere else. They pretty much brought back the Rock N' Wrestling Connection and then changed the main event like four times in the span of like a week.
I heard that ol' Stone Cold didn't really want to job to Triple H, but was convinced to job to Mankind instead for a transitional championship. There is no way in hell that Chyna was ever really going to be in the WWF Championship match. It was just to give her a little bit more exposure as she was already getting alot of attention by being on MTV with Triple H all the time on TRL. |

You have a point, somewhat.
I think Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes are well on their way. Rhodes has gotten significant segement time on the mic since his disfigured gimmick kicked, and giving him the paper bag schtick to create a heat machine for the crowd was brilliant, IMO. Sin Cara's already getting over. He's having decent matches, and gets has the machine very much behind him. Hard to believe he won't be a success in the very near future. Zeke is getting a solid face push in the mid card, and Barrett's got the IC title and is in a fued with Zeke, which gives both ample tv time. The only two that really aren't doing anything at all is Daniel Bryan and Ted DiBiase. Brian can get support when he's inserted into something people actually care about, and he may get that with a Cody Rhodes fued. DiBiase just needs a brand new direction. His character is in dire need of an overhaul. |

The more I think about it, the more I realize I may be wrong / off-point. I want to clarify that I do want them to succeed. I would not be shocked if one or two of them did become something special, but I would also not be shocked if that didn't happen. |

I still think DiBiase has a chance. He's got a good look, he can work, and he's still relatively young. Being on SmackDown! is a good thing. He just needs some direction. I don't think pairing him with Rhodes is that direction.
I'd rather have him be the EXACT opposite of Rhodes. Cody is going to need something to clash against, personality wise. Turning DiBiase into a knowingly good looking, cocky, rich young man would be better than that Fortunate Son crap they canned while on Raw. |

WWE could really benefit from bringing back the lightweight title. Mainly because it'd give some people a legitimate title to fight over, and build feuds between people who otherwise wouldn't have anything going on. I mean, I could see Bryan, Cara, etc, wining the US Title, but what about people like Barretta, Kidd, Chavo, Tatsu, etc? They pretty much have a stacked lightweight/junior division, but they don't and can't acknowledge it. |

Barrett is the goods...he's shown that he can be thrust into the main heel position on the roster and be poised enough to carry it. They DID consider putting the belt on him, so...yeah I'd say he's a draw. I think I understand what you're saying now, if they're not a main eventer, then they aint' shit right? By your logic, CM Punk doesn't really draw money right now either, right? What makes Punks position right now any different than Barrett from a year ago? Ultimately, ALL of those guys will "be there in a year", I'm willing to bet on it. |

Apparently EMLL in mexico trademarked the name Sin Cara there because WWE did not....this should be interesting.

Barrett is interesting as his run with Cena was successful, but Cena is Cena, and I will wait on him until he does it on a consistent basis with different workers. Example: IMO, Orton / Barrett was a disappointment. What seperates CM Punk and those six is that CM Punk is a proven commodity. I guess we disagree, that's fine. |
