All things considered I think the loss to Dallas week 1 last year felt worse since it was at home and all that jazz. Dallas was bound to get a home win against the Giants at some point. |

I hate to discount plays because it's a very ingenuous way of looking at a game, but damn. If you take away the 78 yard TD run by Peterson:
Ponder 18-28 for 236 yards, 1TD 3INT Peterson 17 carries for 15 yards and a TD (4-18-1 in the passing game as well) Jerome Simpson, who I don't think ANYBODY was gameplanning for, had the big receiving game (7-140) but otherwise nobody on the Vikings did a ton of damage. Next best receiver was Jennings with 3-33. People have been touting the Vikings as one of the "risers" in the NFC so to get an impressive week 1 victory over them is mad good feeling. Especially after going 0-6 in the division last year. Chicago doesn't look terribly impressive and GB's defense is suspect. Obviously not "counting them out" but it's not like they're insurmountable foes or anything. If Lions can even go a solid 3-3 in the division this year, combined with the 4th-place SoS games (@ARI and TB), maybe my 6-10 prediction was a bit conservative. I still think absolute best-case scenario is 9-7 though, but again I'd love to be wrong. crossrine |

ESPN had this wonderful graphic up on sportscenter after the SF vs GB highlight showing that only a handful of QB's have ever thrown for 400 yds and 3 touchdowns in the season opener. Kaepernick is up at the top of the list now. What I find funny is that they honestly sat there and compared his game against Peyton Mannings because they both made that list this week....it's already funny that they are comparing a 7 TD performance with a 3 TD performance, but whatever....oh wait, now Eli makes the list too? With 4 TD and 3 INT? ROFL guess his performance matches up with his brothers too. Way to go ESPN.

Just noticed how weird that line is on "Chargers" and how it goes under/over every other letter it seems

Raiders are 6 point favourites over the Jags. I don't care how bad Jacksonville, Oakland should not be favoured by 6 at any point in any game at all this season.

Pryor is the goods. Why doesn't J'ville sign Tebow at least he'll sell tickets. But then if he wins games they will take themselves out of the running for Bridgewater. Nevermind

I believe both the Jags lost all real interest in him after he signed with the Jets and between a big chunk to majority of the fanbase no longer cares about Tebow.
Baring some team becoming really desperate later this season, nobody is interested in him at the QB spot. Think whatever teams might have considered him lost all interest after even the Pats couldn't find a way to improve him. |

Ravens sign RB Shaun Draughn.
Good special teams move with Jacoby Jones out 4-6 weeks. I would have preferred a WR, though. |
