I have to give an edge to Dibiase on about every metric of what a wrestler should be. I really cant think of anyway that Hall out classes him save *maybe* impact on the industry and I would probably debate that too.

DiBiase just based off his Mid South and Japan work. His WWF run is remembered way more fondly than it actually was. His programs never really drew anything.

Sorry, Hall. DiBiase is one of the greatest heels ever.

A friend of mine showed me a video of a feud he had with Jim Duggan that started when Duggan won a battle royal where the reward was a pair of cuff links. DiBiase got mad because Duggan doesn't even wear shirts. It was wonderfully ridiculous.

The DiBiase vs Savage feud ended up being a dud, so was the DiBiase vs Jake feud which was supposed to be the number two match at WM6, but you wouldn't have known it.

Oh I'm not saying Hall did.
But if it weren't for DiBiase's amazing Mid South and Japan work, I'd be voting Hall. DiBiase post 1987 is more often than not bad instead of good. DiBiase is also one of the more blander babyfaces I've ever seen. I have a bunch of stuff from his WWF run in the late 70's/early 80's and he's pretty bad. He didn't get really good until he became part of the Rat Pack. |

Did you really not like the Million Dollar Man gimmick? Shit was golden.

On first glance I was gonna go with Hall no question. Then I thought about it, and they're pretty even in terms of wrestling skill, but DiBiase blows Hall away on the mic. Gotta give it to the million dollar man.

I fucking love ted Dibiase he was a heat magnet. Both in the ring and on the mic he was amazing. Giving it to the Million Dollar man I admit it I'm bought.

I went with Hall even though I like both.
I know Dibiase in mid south was the bee knees but I haven't been exposed to much, and Hall was a staple of my childhood. People under estimate how amazing and integral he was as Razor Ramon. Million Dollar man was great but honestly, he doesn't have much to show for it in the ring. Never "bad" performances but nothing that stands out. |

He unsuccessfully tried to buy the then WWF Championship, and his stuff with Money, Inc. is pretty memorable.

I honestly think Hall was better on the mic because he could cut face and heel promos effectively. DiBiase couldn't.

DiBiase hands down if for no other reason then how memorable his character was.
Hall was good but after a time in WcW something about him started to rub me the wrong way |

He had some great stuff with Jake and the Virgil stuff was cool. But nothing was ever a full on homerun after the Hogan/Savage stuff IMO. You could argue he was past his prime once he was the million dollar man, as he was only actively in the WWF from the end of '87 (beginning of '88?) until '93. I'm doing him a disservice, he was tremendous but without his Midsouth stuff to reference I just think Hall is better. |

Even that wasn't good. People didn't buy DiBiase as a challenger to Hogan because Hulk had been battling guys like Andre, Kamala, Studd, Bundy and beaten them all. They viewed DiBiase as being too small to be a threat. The same issue they ran into with Mr.Perfect. A different time that's for sure. |

Dibiase was the quintessential heel. Great technician to boot. Hall is criminally overrated.

I'll have to plead ignorance to DiBiase's Mid South run, I haven't seen much from that era of wrestling. Loved the WWF stuff I've gone back from him and he was a brilliant heel.
But I've been on a Scott Hall binge lately and I've really come to appreciate his work even more than I did a couple of weeks ago when he first popped up in the polls. Really been enjoying his early Razor Ramon stuff and even his Diamond Studd stuff. Guy had such a great way of getting the crowd into his matches too. I'll go with Hall. |

Hall for me. DiBiase was great, but he was given a great gimmick that was very easy to hate. Not saying that he couldn't have made something else work, but 80% of the work was done for him....

Still anybodies match here. We average around 40 votes so plenty of voters still out there potentially.

Really tough choice but gave the nod to Hall.
Both had really great characters/gimmicks and were great in terms of promo skills but felt Hall edges out Dibiase in terms of overall package. Also remember watching more of Hall's big moments than Dibiase. |
