Went with a 10 because it has been enjoyable for the entire year basically. That may be in huge part to Daniel Bryan, The Shield and The Authority but it is what it is.

5. Some great moments and shows but RAW was the biggest weakness overall this year.
NXT was great overall, RAW became really hit or miss type especially in the latter half of the year, and the PPVs were decent to great. Watched only a few TNA and NJPW shows this year but they were good overall. |

7.
NXT was great WWE Network. WrestleMania 30. YES! YES! YES! Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins as top stars. Sami Zayn NXT Championship. Brock beating the shit out of Cena at SummerSlam. Minuses: -Cena being champion in the year and one more reign from tying Flair. -Also WWE missing the ball on Cesaro after the mometum he had going into and leaving WrestleMania with. -Breaking up the Wyatt Family too soon and without any fanfare or explosion. -Not giving Dean Ambrose a clean win on Seth Rollins or Bray Wyatt (except for the honor the troops thing.) Also giving him a movie to do right when Ambrose was hottest. -WWE pushing Daniel Bryan too hard with handicap matches, multiple matches on the same night. WWE never pulled that shit repeatedly on Steve Austin when he was going against Mr. McMahon. They pushed him to injury. |

Pros:
NXT and everyone involved Evolution of Ambrose and Rollins as individual performers Brock Lesnar showing how a true HEEL works Rusev gaining traction as another credible heel. Hopefully he continues to develop Cons: 21-1 just didn't make sense for Lesnar to do it Bryan being out Reigns going from wrecking machine to mumbles when trying to string together a complete sentence RAW in general. Though the 90 minute Hulu version makes it tolerable. Scripted promos. I know this isn't a "new thing" but they seems more horrible than usual this year. Still stand by the mentality that performers should be given bullet points to build on. This would enable a more organic character progression/development |

6. Some decent moments, but nothing extraordinary.... injuries derailing Bryan & Reigns and shitty booking of talent being wasted (Cesaro, Ambrose, Rollins, Barrett, Sheamus, Ziggler, Swagger, Rhodes, etc.) have soured 2014 on me....

It started off really strong and tapered off a little after wrestlemania. The summer picked back up but the last 2-3 months were ass.

The local indy scene had one fed not hold as many shows. But two other feds picked up the slack. And got to see 6 great shows all with in a 20 minute drive. TNA was good to decent from Slamminversary until the final show of new footage on Spike. WWE,started watching Raw and Smackdown each week back in July. By late September I was getting bored with both and started reading a comic or book while having either on the TV. After Survivor Series I pretty much gave up on WWE. NECW was doing great ,but it looks like they have lost their weekly tv show. So I won't be getting my weekly 30 minutes of fun NE based wrestling. Lucha Underground was great. |
