All that shit is stupid. Even NFL players suing the NFL is dumb. I've always thought it should be in their contracts that they understand the risk involved in being a pro wrestler/athlete and won't sue once they are done.

Clearly all the problems Axl had were from those 5 matches he had under the WWE contract....

Here's what they should do: Have them drop the lawsuit if WWE establish a fund for former wrestlers with brain injuries. Make the number sound like alot, tout it and make it seem like you're doing it for "the old boys" and raising awareness for brain injuries. The individual payouts will be shit, but its better than dragging it out in litigation for months on end - the result will be the same as someone is going to find them liable for something - and you might as well spin this into something that appears positive.

Jimmy Snuka: Not mentally competent enough to stand trial for murder, but mentally competent enough to sue WWE for concussions.
Makes perfect sense. |

If *anyone* tips the scales in the favor of the wrestlers, though, it is the inclusion of Mantaur.
Without him, this whole lawsuit would seem suspect and potentially meritless. |

Ehh, it's just the whole hometown hero thing. Plus the guy probably took more insane bumps than even Foley.
I still remember the story of him super-gluing a huge cut on his arm once mid-match and taping it up. If nothing else, nobody can ever doubt his toughness. |

Who ever could have thought that bumping around and taking repetitive blows to the head could cause concussions and long-term damage?

Yeah they totally were hiding this shit and all those chairs to the head that Vince took were an elaborate way to mount a preemptive defense.
Fuck these people. |

In all seriousness though, even though it wouldn't have taken an Einstein to see that repetitive head injuries would cause damage, I understand why the suit is being filed and I'm not 100% against it.
I think people on the outside think that many of these people are money grubbing assholes, and some of them likely are. But a lawsuit like this could represent correctional behavior on a dysfunctional institution. WWE has been very proactive in trying to get all of these cases thrown out very early on for a very specific purpose - they do not want to go on record about what they knew about concussions, they do not want to go on record about how they handled concussions, AND they do not want to go on record about how they approached and often times encouraged very high risk spots that resulted in concussions. |

I'm pretty sure wrestling would have died completely if they had done anything 20 years ago about confusions in wrestling. The Hardcore/Attitude era boom would have never happened.

Same lawyer thats tried multiple times to sue the WWE class action style. He has failed in all his previous attempts too.
What makes this laughable is that they are only suing WWE and not attempting to go after any of their other employers. |

Think the bigger deal about the lawsuit won't be about concussions but them actually challenging the "independent contractors" system the WWE uses as a way to cheap out from paying medical and other worker related costs.
Every time someone tries to legit legally challenge it, the WWE usually settles to prevent it from getting ruled against them. Last happened with Del Rio when he threated to challange it to get out of the 1 year no-compete clause. Quote:

Was gonna make a comment about the Hebners suing being ridiculous but they probably took more bumps in a WWE ring than Rotten.

I'm honestly surprised no one hasn't gone after WWE with the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.

Someone is likely filing the suit on his behalf BECAUSE he isnt competent and will probably use his current state to support their claims.
