Yeah, I agree. I thought 1 offspring was enough with Cassie Cage. But Jax's daughter, Kung Lao and Kenshi's boys? Might be a bit too much.

Design-wise, a little bit yeah, but from what I've seen of gameplay, they look mad cool to me.

The hype train is hitting me really hard for this. Like, I'm going out to preorder today, and I'm probably going to pick up the komplete edition of MK9 while I'm at it, so I can play through story and arcade mode again.

Going to refresh my memory on reptile combos. He was my boy in the last one. Well Sektor and his VERY NINJA JETPACK was my main, but he's absent.

Also, I've always hated Johnny Cage as a character, But he's appealing to me a lot more in this. The costume, the cage knucks...he also seems more Nolan Northesque. A word I just invented.

lol poor Killer Instinct. Every time I get the urge to dig in and start getting really involved in it, something else comes out and pulls me away from it. Even Hisako's awesomeness can't keep me away from MKX.

That might just be the immediately available roster. Ive seen video in the story mode where you actually fight Rain. Im guessing there are players unlockable through either a krypt or rewards for completion

Also, we need an Art of Mortal Kombat book.

Not like the rinky dink one that came with last game's special edition, but a TRUE 300+ page tome of art work and commentary.

I don't think I'm alone in saying that one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to the MK franchise is for it's unique, atmospheric art direction and character design. Been collecting these kinds of books for the past year, and given MK's history, there is more than enough content throughout the years to easily rival Udon's Complete Works series of Capcom art books.

If anyone is interested, the mobile version of the game was released today. The mobile version does have some issues with random crashing though.

Likely without variations and alts, and maybe even fatalities. Probably just reused a lot of resources from MK9 so they could be in story mode.

If that's the case. And if chatter on the launch patch is true. There better be some 1000+ Koin stashes just like the last time. Because 200 koins a win/match is gonna take forever to unlock everything in the Krypt.

Unless someone gets a guide up quick so we can get all the good stuff unlocked without having to run around like crazy.

Besides the typical characters and skins, Warner Bros and/or NetherRealm snuck in more stuff into the game's microtransaction system. Was only discovered after launch and now includes the ability to purchase packs of Easy Fatalities and an accelerator to get everything unlocked at once (costs around $20).

PS4 and Xbox One version has this system while the PC version doesn't (or at least for launch). Same Easy Fatalities packs are said to be found in the Krypt for the non-real cash option, just takes longer to purchase and use them.








Not sure if the PC version is affected but some complaints about the game locking you into whatever server/region the digital game was purchased in. So if you bought the game from UK/Europe's PSN, can't play online with people from US or other regions.
