That was a pretty great match.

Curious where Daniel Bryan goes from here. Personally I would like to see him become a bit "unhinged" again. Bent on proving that he is the best. Give him that "edge" to his character again that he had when he was getting over post (and at the breakup of) Hell-No.

Either way, I think Roman has a built in program here still with Bryan for after Mania.

Convinced that Brock wins, Rollins cashes in and loses and then Brock doesn't show up again til Summerslam to defend the belt against Daniel Bryan.

I love that idea for Bryan. That would also fit the whole Face vs Face Ziggler/Bryan Match at Mania if they go that route. Who's the best in ring? Neither needs to turn heel. Just have each go out every Raw/SD till then and try to out do each other. Simple really.

I really loved that main event, great storytelling and hard hitting. It's good to see things evolving.

Great main event first off. Reigns looked great and they've actually gotten me intrigued in the Reigns/Lesnar match now.

I don't see there being too much for Bryan to do at Mania though. Sheamus or Ziggler would seem to be his likely opponents. Either would make for a great match of course but I'm not sure it would matter much in the long run.

I've accepted at this point that Bryan will never have a lengthy run with the title. His chance to do it was last year and unfortunately it got derailed to injury. WWE is well aware that the fans love him and they know they can plug him into a title program at any time to get the fans into it, but I'm certain Vince has settled that Bryan works much better as a guy chasing the belt than a guy holding it.

Good main event. Possibly the right result there didn't seem to be the heat that accompanied the Royal Rumble.

Interested to see what happens with Bryan now as I can't assume he's out of the title picture completely i.e. he may well come back into it post-Wrestle Mania.


Disappointed with the Triple H v Sting segment. Expected Sting to talk and for him to shed some light as to "why he's here" plus place a stipulation on the match i.e. control of WWE?

Are we expected to assume if Bray Wyatt beats Undertaker, Taker is expected to retire?

If so, do you think that will close the show?

Surprised how well Bryan and Roman work. At this point I can't imagine anyone Bryan can't make look phenomenal. That said I still hate that fact that the main roster limits movesets reducing db to a kick machine and while the match was good I still hope our Lord and Savior the 1 in 21 and 1 BROCK LESNAR stomps Roman into the ground

I want the main event on next year's Wrestlemania to somehow be Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Ambrose.

Not gonna happen though.... no part timers in it so it can't be the main event....

I think I said this in a previous post that I wish/hope that a Reigns and Bryan rivalry will build up overtime and maybe be a main event at a future Wrestle Mania akin to the Rock v Austin rivalry.

I feel that's what's really been lacking in recent years a great rivalry we can tune into week in, week out. Rock v Cena wasn't quite on that level given Rock's sporadic appearances, Cena and Punk never felt that way either.

If I had to guess, its probably vs Sheamus or in the Battle Royale at this point for Bryan. Ziggler-Bryan would be great but more likely Ziggler and Ryback finish their business with the Authority at Mania (Kane and Big Show). Big Show and Kane have been built up way too much these past few months to just be thrown away into the Battle Royale.

Vince supposedly doesn't see Bryan more than as just a work horse type wrestler like Ceasro was for a while or as someone who should be mainly in the upper mid card. Supposedly has similar views about Ambrose's limit being the upper mid card and not someone who can be a legit mega star (or a threat to Reigns stardom).

If that's true, that's awful depressing and I guess I should probably stop watching. Bryan (despite his age) and ESPECIALLY guys like Ambrose (and Rollins) are the future of this business. Will they be the next Rock, Austin, Hogan? No. Absolutely not. However, not even Cena, Bret, Taker, HHH or HBK were on the same level as Rock, Austin or Hogan.

This is the kind of ridiculousness that makes me hope for Vince's retirement even though I know it won't happen. He's so out of touch, even with casual fans at this point, it's depressing.

Funny, I always felt the same way after MITB matches. After the first year or two it seemed to really lose it's magic for me. I wanted to see guys win and the matches were always solid and/or amazing but the subsequent push almost always felt weak and/or like it didn't really matter in the long run.

Bryan already is"now" and they should push him for all its worth before age and injuries catch up with given that at seems wrestling careers seem to be much shorter now than before. Not that there should be any concern for Bryan heading into retirement any time soon.

I'm not sure where all these "Vince prefers big guys" rumours are coming from as if that were truly the case then Bryan would never have been given title pushes in the first place.

Also I think WWE are able to get away with "bad booking" in this day and age given that they have no real competition to be measured against and totally dominate the pro-wrestling business. "Back in the day" if you didn't like one show you could switch over to the other and vice-versa. TNA and ROH are no competition and therefore Vince et al don't need to worry about losing viewers and fans to rival promotion. Then put out whatever shit they like and you know fans will tune in. Heck they could have Kermit the Frog guest hosting Summer Slam with Rusev knocking out Undertaker with a hot dog and they know the fans will still come back for more.

I agree. I meant Bryan (and I'll throw Ziggler in there) is the future, in the more short term in comparison to Cena. He'll likely be able to hang a few more years with the other future guys, Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt (and yes, even Reigns).

Feel like the card this year is really going to underwhelm. I'm sure all the entrances and usual pageantry will be cool as usual, but looking for something to invest in and not finding anything much to my liking the way things are shaping up.

I think the crowd will most likely be pro-Lesnar. I don't think the match will be totally shit on UNLESS Reigns wins the title at WM. Also, I'm sure we will hear some chants for Daniel Bryan.

Sadly, I don't think it will sit well with WWE brass, or at least not with Vince. That being said, I think he's too stubborn and/or out of touch to care. In other words, even if the crowd shits on the match or chants throughout for Bryan or Lesnar, it won't likely actually affect the outcome of the match or future storylines.

Well I was convinced Bryan was going to play a part in the main event after all the furore concerning the Royal Rumble. Now that it looks like he won't be involved in the main-event (for the time being at least), the wind has been taken out of those sails.

I've been left unimpressed with the Triple H v Sting build up. To hype up the confrontation and not have Sting speak or at least Triple H accept the challenge right there in the ring, discuss a stipulation etc. again it feels as if WWE have failed to capitalise on the potential that has/had to be huge.


I seem set on the fact Bray Wyatt v Undertaker may well be THE match for Wrestle Mania. TPWW mentioned in an article it's most likely to go last/later in the night to accommodate both entrances and if there is to be the stipulation that Undertaker has to retire if he loses then like his match with HBK a few years back, wouldn't be surprised to see this one go last.

Just when you think WWE are going to make something truly spectacular, they spectacularly blow it.

Have we seen the last of Daniel Bryan with regards to the WWE title picture? For now at least?

It appears that way whether we like it or not.

Maybe this was WWE...Vince....trying the emphasize to us that Reigns is who they want to push and that we have to make do with it.

That's what it was. They let the fans know they heard them and gave them this match but that was as far as it's going. I don't see crowds hijacking shows like they did last year to force Bryan back in the main event. Call it YES fatigue.

Yeah... if they were going to do "silent dark Sting" they shouldn't have him have red on his coat.... and he might as well just have faced Undertaker.

Reason I was "excited" for a match with HHH over one with Undertaker was that Sting had evolved past the silent guy a loooong time ago and he is actually good on the mic.... and a feud against HHH would allow for some good back and forth on the mic.
