HBK is just objectively better here. I love Foley, and I'd even argue that I got more entertainment from him than I did from Michaels over the years, but I just can't give him the nod here. I think an argument could be made about who was better on the mic as they're both amazing, but outside of that Foley doesn't top Michaels in any other category.

Another one of those where HBK had his opponents best match, but not HBKs best ever match.
Man that Mind Games match is so damn good though. |

I think I probably respect Foley more, and it could be argued over who's better on the mic, but it's a moot point coz overall HBK is better is pretty much every way anyway.

I probably would've voted Mick Foley if he just would've stopped wrestling after his WrestleMania match with Edge. Or even the SummerSlam I Quit match with Ric Flair. But he's just tarnished his legacy for the last ten years. HBK pretty easily.

HBK.
Gave the nod to HBK mostly because I felt he was better in more areas and as an overall package than Foley was. Also HBK's second run in the WWE did a lot to boost his overall legacy than had he stayed retired after Mania 14 in terms of in-ring stuff. Both did have some really great memorable matches and moments during their careers. |

Mick's getting smoked, but it shouldn't be this much of a thrashing. Mick Foley was a tremendous worker -- one of the best the WWE has ever had. I think too many people are getting bogged down on technical skill or what have you. I mean, HBK is better, but this is not the wash TPWW is making it out to be. Who was the better draw, by the way? I actually want to say Mick, but I don't have the stats to fall back on.
It's a weird world where Matt Hardy gets parity with AJ Styles for Wrestler of the Year and yet Foley can barely scrape votes together against HBK. This is what you've done to your legacy, Mick. |

As for who was the better draw I can't really say. I mean Foley did headline the RAW that basically won the Monday Night Wars so that probably says something about his drawing power, but at the same time I can't imagine that he was drastically ahead of HBK in terms of overall money he garnered for the company. I'd actually be kinda curious to find out though. In he end I do agree that this shouldn't be this close, but I think most people who voted for HBK were in the same boat I am. I think a lot of us probably wanted to vote Mick but just couldn't. |

HBMs post 02 run was big money. If he had never returned the drawing power would be landslide foley. And imo if we only counted HBMs first run there wouldnt be a debate, it would be Foley all the way.
But Michaels came back and did huge business and had a catalog of all time classic matches the likes of which only maybe 5 workers can touch. |

I love both these dudes, but if I had to pick one I would probably pick Shawn Michaels.
However, since I Mick Foley as well, I'm just gonna toss my vote to him because.... well.... it seems like it is not going to matter. |

Shawn Michaels to come back and face AJ Styles in the main event of WrestleMania this year, please. It seems an appropriate thing to say right now.

HBK. Foley isn't Mt Rushmore material. He's like mid to low on the next tier of guys. Besides, Foleys impact on the business was basically on one style of wrestling and that's hardcore. HBK influenced tons of different styles and characters and had more of a lasting impact on future generations.

Everybody says that about every wrestler that wins one match-up, haha. Wait until HBK comes into contact with The Rock, Stone Cold, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan or even Eddie Guerrero.

I think the HOF matchup is gonna be either Bret Hart or Daniel Bryan.
Assuming Destor is going for some hot final round drama. |

Ric is certifiably insane. I don't think we should be taking anything he says seriously. I mean he did say Roman Reigns was better than Finn Balor and Seth Rollins after all.

I'm not saying it about every wrestler. I'm saying it about HBK because he won this the last time and he already killed off Kurt freaking Angle.

Bret Hart would be acceptable. Daniel Bryan would be laughable though imo. He wasn't around long enough and didn't have a big enough impact on the business. It's unfortunate that his career was derailed by injury far too early, but it is what is. He's an all time great story and had the potential to become legendary but he just didn't have enough time. None of that tarnished his legacy though. Just leaves me not remembering him for the great things he did but rather for the things he could have done.

Danielsons impact on the industry was profound. Look at the roster today. 65% of them should thank danilson for their jobs. He completely shifted the direction of the business.
But it would be a squash. |

I think you're both underestimating the IWC's ability to go overboard with their darlings. I think Bryan would actually end up making it close.

Maybe once upon a time when we still had a lot of people who drooled over Daniel Bryan long before he ever went to the WWE.
