In my experience people who assert that I'm taking something serious/personal are almost always themselves totally in their feelings about things.
I promise you I am chill as fuck over here. A million times I have to say me writing a lil paragraph is not the 'Serious Business' my tag advertises. Go to the Star Wars thread to see what me going in looks like. |

Holy shit just got back! This film is awesome! If you love the comics you will definitely enjoy it.
No nitpicking here. Only real complaint is that the movie seemed to rush by so quickly. Was amazing and fun and incredibly loyal to the comics. SPOILER: show Once again, Marvel has a winner on their hands, and if Deadpool wasn't already popular, this film will certainly do for him what the Iron Man movie did for that character. |

going to see it tomorrow afternoon after work, never read the comics and I've seen all the Marvel movies and enjoyed them, but this is the first I made a point to go and see in theaters (instead of going to see one when there is nothing else to go see).....

I knew it would be good, but I didn't think it would be this. I didn't expect it to be such a great love story.
I think Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin give Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow a run at best couple in a superhero movie. |

75 thousand votes on IMDB have it at 8.7... I'd say this film is another smash for Marvel.

Supposedly the film already broke a few records from the early screening and release day estimates.

Ended up pulling in $135 million. Broke the record for an r-rated movie opening weekend.
Marvel should venture into "R" territory more often. Maybe get Blade and The Punisher going again. |

Just viewed this movie... the actual "plot" felt really thin, but was very entertaining via all the other elements....

Apparently there might be an R-rated X-Force movie.

never was a huge fan of comic books, but Deadpool was by far the best Marvel movie I have ever seen... And I'm sure there were dozens of references I did not get....

What I am worried about with Deadpool is that it will be so highly overrated (see above post) that it will get to the point to where I am "annoyed" by it....

I agree. The plot was good not omg best movie ever. But the comedy put it on a higher level. Hopefully they don't go silly on part 2

Apparently, via IMDB, the next Wolverine film will be R-rated. And so it begins....

it's pretty frustrating when you're a comic book nerd, though
i'm pretty sure I was the only in the audience who knew what the deal with "Bob" was |

I got it, but I think, even to non-fans, it'd seem pretty obvious, working in the mercenary business, that Deadpool just happens to "know" henchmen.
But definitely more fun for fans who knew who Bob is. |

Saw this on Tuesday. Was super surprised that I really came to love Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead in this. They were actually really entertaining themselves. Wouldn't mind seeing them appear in future X-Men movies as main characters.

Yeah, super enjoyable movie but not earth shattering by any means. Still, solid outing for Ryan Reynolds-got put over strong- could help cement his main event push.

My only complaint about the movie is that the naked fight scene didn't happen before Ryan Reynolds got ugly.
