problem deleting
I want to delete a file, it is a video file mpg format, but it won't let me. It keeps telling me it is being used by another program, I tried restarting my computer closing all programs but nothing is working. Any ideas?

Use Alt+Ctrl+Delete and close everything but the programs windows uses. (If you're using Windows XP close everything but the programs with the User Name "SYSTEM") Then try deleting it. If that works, restart.

Well, if you're using Windows 95/98 (and maybe 2000, I have no idea), simply restart the PC in DOS mode (it's in the "Shutdown" options), and then delete the file from there.
If you have Windows XP though, I don't think you can go into DOS mode |

Close your pop up stopper, and then try it. For some reason, that worked for me.

I had an emulator that wouldn't delete, and i'm on XP, nothing worked at all.
About 2-3 weeks after I stopped trying, I was uploading something on WS_FTP Pro, and I saw it (cause i had it hidden on the desktop) and just deleted it, easy. |

My mother had the same problem with her computer.
If it'll let you, put it in a new folder... and delete the entire folder. I had to delete the entire folder on my mothers computer. |
