The more I think and reflect upon this movie, the more I like it. I don't know... I'm thinking that maybe seeing it in 3D lead me to not liking it initially as much as I could have....

Did you not have a choice when it came to seeing it in 3D?

Yeah... it was only playing twice the entire day in 2D... rest was in 3D, and I decided to go "earlier" than the 2D ones were playing....

If I choice between 3D and 2D I always choose 3D... Just because.
I agree with The Loop. I think Age Of Ultron is my 3rd or 4th favorite. Age of Ultron reminds me of Star Trek Into Darkness. It's not as good or as fun as it predesscor, but it's much needed and worthy addition to the franchise. Also WTF is wrong with people like Shadow or are critizing for Joss Whedon in such weird ways. People are disappointed that he's actually directing the biggest movies of all time instead of cult thing. God forbid someone moves forward with their career. |

Some of Joss' recent interviews make me really interested to see "his" cut. Especially if he could have had his wish and included Spidey and Carol in the New Avengers.

I wonder how much actual footage was cut.

He says his first version was about 3:15, but who know how much of that was "finished," and how much still had place-holder effects and whatever.

Would have just been cameos. When Cap was introducing Nat to the new team, they would have just been there with Falcon, Rhodey, Vision, and Wanda.

I wonder why Falcon wasn't at the big action scene at the end.... Fury brought War Machine, should have brought Falcon too. Would have made more "sense" that he would be there at the end with the New Avengers too.

I'm about to do some research on this so I don't know anything about it. I will know more in about an hour. But what is the Black Widow problem that caused Joss Whedon to leave twitter? |

People grossly misinterpreting the movie to apply anti-feminist undertones. Certainly not an adjective anyone who is actually paying attention would ever use to describe Joss Whedon.

Apparently wanting kids "diminishes" Black Widow somehow. Because women should only be cool and calm at all times if they're assassins.

Yeah and she didn't define herself in the movie as being a monster because she can't have kids. Which seems to be a lot of peoples complaint.
Her lack of being of being able to be a mother was never stated or even implied for her being a "monster"I thought it was pretty clear it was because of her past deeds which was hinted at when she was "hexed." However no Black Widow merchandise and no Black widow movie are solid points. |

None of that is Joss' fault, though. That's on Disney.

That is true, which I why I think a majority of the people were just trolling... Like anything else on the internet.
Now there never been a successful female led superhero movie. I'm not saying that it can't happen it just hasn't yet. That also begs another question... Were those female led superhero movies bad because they were female led? Or were they just bad? Chances are they were just bad. |

Good movie. Felt they tried too many jokes. Idk. Hide the zucchini line was hilarious
I haven't watched all marvel movies so can someone explain to me why Natalie Portman and gwynneth Paltrow weren't in this? ScarJo is super babe and had some bangin looking tittehs in a couple scenes but I love babes. Also that Witch chick looks like my buddy's gf who has a cat named Taco |

It's probably practical reason such as money, not enough time to include them, and Natalie Portman is going to be in the next Thor movie.
Gwyneth Paltrow has said she isn't doing another movie, which I'm not sure if I totally believe. I do think Stark and Pepper have broken up just by the way some things are stated in the movie. Could be wrong on that one though. Can't help you with the mum and cat named Taco. |

Portman has never actually liked her role as Jane Foster and tends to keep her involvement in action movies like this as minimum as possible. Chances are with Paltrow they just didn't have anything for her even though her and RDJ work super well together.
Also Pepper was running a massive international company. |

Small thing, but I wish when they were flashing back to Black Widow's past, they woulda done a shot of her getting handcuffed to the bed. Would have been a nice "nod" to Agent Carter and make it "more obvious" that it was the same thing.

Jesus titties, this was awesome.
Like someone else said, I love that Ultron had personality, and wasn't just the typical cold, emotionless, "I MUST KILL ALL HUMANS" evil robot. Now I see why they went with a bit more of a human face, rather than his traditional static visage in the comics. His ability to add expressions to his comments definitely added to the character, and it was a really good call. Quicksilver obviously wasn't as interesting a character as the x-men version, but to be fair, he was a hell of a lot closer to the comic version, which for this, was more important imo. And he still got some really slick moments. Wanda and Vision were really cool, but I'm more excited to see them fleshed out in future movies. Only complaint was that the pacing felt weird. The plot moves incredibly fast, at first. Like almost too fast. Then it slows to a crawl after the wakanda battle. Then it picks up again. Honestly though, that likely has everything to do with all the cut material. Hoping that for the dvd and bluray release that they can release an Extended Version. |

Also one thing I haven't seen mentioned that really needs mentioning is just how well the fight scenes are put together. The way the Avengers work together, and combine their powers and techniques for all kinds of double team maneuvers and such. It was present in Avengers, but they really amped it up here, which makes sense since they've been fighting together for a while now tracking down the scepter.
I've just never seen that kind of thing done in a superhero movie as well as it's done here. |

I was kinda hoping to have at least one Ultron body with his classic look. Just one. Then for Ultron to switch to something else. Ahh well.

The only (admittedly nitpicky) complaint I have about this film is how quickly the idea of Ultron was introduced. What I mean is, Stark and Banner just have this seemingly rushed conversation about "hey, remember that one thing we worked on?" in the middle of a movie/tv continuity that likes planting seeds, hints, nods, and easter eggs... but this just comes out of thin air?
But, whatever. Still thoroughly enjoyed it. Twice. |

Part of what made the first one so exceptional was that it was the climax of years of build-up. This one was just like "Hey. Here's Avengers 2!" I know there were bits, but compared to how much time has devoted to what will be the third and fourth one, it's almost negligible. It was good, but most of their movies have been great or epic in no small part because of the continuity and all the movies weaving together. This is also the one thing that won't be really helped with cut footage being re-added. This is something they kind of dropped the ball on for years. Quote:
All in all, I wish for what might have been, but I'm still happy I saw it. Twelve suplexes out of sixteen. |

Finally (well, the day after premiere here), thought it was amazing. Only complaint is the villian. Ultron sucks. James Spader made him better, but I still don't like Ultron. Fuck him.
