It's just stunning that this happened. It just goes to show that you cant trust any trailers. Trailers are like old beat up bitches wearing make-up after you've had 20 beers. They look amazing, act amazing and when you go to fuck them you're shocked how bad of a choice you made.

Not even. It's not that stunning that D.C. keeps releasing clunkers. They rushed to get these movies and their universe off the ground with no plan in place, and now they're eating shit for it.

I'm just glad that after this movie get released and gets "meh" box office results, the seemingly endless articles about how "Leto so cray cray being Joker" and random casting notes and tidbits about the plot will end.

Seems like I've been hearing about this for three years. It's going to feel like the day after an election. Instead of "where are all the Trump and Clinton ads? Oh yeah....thank God that's over." It'll be "why haven't I heard anything about Suicide Squad in a week? Oh yeah....thank god that's over."

It's gonna have a massive opening weekend. But as we saw with BvS after the reviews and word of mouth, it could see a huge dip the following week.

I'm also not naive enough to believe that a movie this hyped doesnt lend itself to even the best reviewers making up bullshit to be contreversial or different.

Or maybe it just really sucks.

X-Men wasn't a bad movie. It was decent. And it got decent reviews. Reading those reviews and the one for the film of topic is a completely different experience.

Not to say that maybe a very small contingentof reviewers hate movies like this. Here in San Diego, we have a free mag called The Reader. The guy who reviews movies hates everything. He didn't like the Dark Knight, for fuck's sake. So yeah, there are the snobs who will hate on anything like this. Even the almighty Marvel movies. However, if the film is good, those in that small contingent will be drowned out.

When you have such a large sample of people watching the same movie and having the same reaction, it probably means something.

Reminder that all movies are hyped to hell. I'm not sure why people take media as some kind of indicator of film quality.

I watch trailers as a kind of primer to the movie. I don't actually judge either direction.

I saw it. Honestly, i think the actors got betrayed by editing. I'm not sure if it was cut up to much or what, but, this was a shitting movie edit if i've ever seen one. I cant blame any of the stars. Still though, It wasnt completely horrible.

Rumors flooded the internets after reviews started releasing that there were plenty of cuts, only 6 months allotted to write the script, rewrites and studio involvement. I.e. a bunch of excuses as to why the movie probably isn't good.

Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. The main story/plot was pretty weak but the interaction between the characters was great with some really funny moments. Not sure how I feel about Letto's Joker, he didn't have enough screen time to really make my mind up.

Overall, it was a fun ride of a movie.

Deadshot felt like every Will Smith character.If one of the Joker scenes had Jim Carey in Leto's place, no one would have noticed. They showed the Mad Love cover, but left out the actual Mad Love. Flagg was just there.

Complaints over with, Enchantress was a solid villain. She was a legit threat. Viola Davis was perfectly cast as Amanda Waller. I felt she should have put up more of a fight against the underlings, though. Margot was good as Harley. I bought her as at least a little off, but that made her dangerous. Needed the mallet instead of a bat, though. Croc and Boomerang ruled. Diablo was probably the show stealer. I really hated to see him go.

I thought the same thing about Flagg. The guy who plays him is a great actor too. Bummed me out.

Not surprising it would beat Guardians of the Galaxy opening, since some of the characters/cameos in Suicide Squad are way more well known than any of the Guardians were at the time.

Any movie is successful because of sustained ticket sales. The Dark Knight was pulling in money left and right, every weekend. It didn't blow its load opening weekend only up fall off.

BvS did that and was considered a disappointment to the point that the entire hierarchy overseeing the films were changed. SS is probably gonna go thru the same drop off. Because it's probably just not a good movie.

It was a good movie though, best comic book movie this year in my opinion. To me DC's movies feel more like a comic book. I like both Marvel and DC and I don't understand the hate that the DC films get. If they make a film completely different from Marvels formula they get shit on, if they have one thing that is similar to Marvel people shit on them for coping Marvel. I read some Rotten Tomatoes reviews and most of them had go into the movie trying to kill it, it's just not that bad of a movie.

Stop being juvenile. They're not getting shit in because they're different from marvel or trying to copy them. They're getting shit on because they're not good movies. Yes, you may like them. But they're not good.

Just got back from this. Wasn't very good at all. Villain stunk. The plot was paper thin, and while there were cool cameos and the actors did ok, the overall story and characters were flat. The motives were flat. The Joker was useless. I could go on. And probably will.

But for now, I will say that it's deserving of its criticism. It's not a good movie. About as bad, possibly worse than BvS.

Thought the character were well introduced and developed through out the story. Especially Diablo, they did a great job with him. Joker was great and had me hoping he survived and was glad to see him bust out Harley. Enchantress was a good villain and posed a legit threat. I'm not sure what people are expecting but the movie is fun all the way through an I enjoyed it. I'd actually put it above the theatrical release of Dawn of Justice but not above the Director's cut.
