It looks shite.

I'm not saying use "canned animation" or have them teleport, I'm saying have them stagger into close enough range to just hit the move.

Or is that all dependant on where you are when you start the wake up taunt?

That's a minor issue, though. Better to give you the freedom to set up a move (say a springboard finisher) than have a canned animation where you're guaranteed to be face to face in the middle of the ring every time.

Looking over it constantly, it seems like it depends on where you are when you start the taunt, we'll know for sure when/if there is a demo.

I'd say that there's a bit of a momentum-killing moment in it, but they're a great concept and I'm happy to have them in as-is. Next year they could make it so that if you hold a button, they'll stagger TO YOU no matter what and you'll immediately go into your finisher automatically. And if you don't hold the button it'll do what it does now. Best of both worlds, really, because as it stands it opens a lot of possibilities, especially in multi-man matches. Like Orton does the wake up taunt and Edge hits a Spear.

For some time you were able to do the story mode with just about every wrestler. Changed in the past few years unfortunately. The Road to Wrestlemania mode is cool..but kinda limited since each season is specified to each wrestler. Some of them have been really good..just feel like it's a "blah" thing.

Trade-off is that they use full voice overs for the whole thing. Also, it's cool because in the past, story mode would be a bit generic, since it had to be able to work with every wrestler in the game. Now there are far less wrestlers to choose from, but it's far more personable for each one. You can do cool shit like reunite E & C as Edge, and things of that sort. I like it better.

Plus, there is always Universe mode and Create-a-storyline, if you like the old style.

It's win-win, really.

Yeah, Road to WrestleMania mode, which has been in every game since '09, I do believe is 12 weeks + 3 PPV's (Rumble, EC, WM), so considering all of that there's no way they'd be able to do storylines for every superstar and diva on the roster (one year they actually did a pretty solid Mickie James RtWM). So they typically do like 6 guys for storylines.

It doesn't solve the annoying problem of the tag team not coming out together though when they hold the tag belts. They can only be a proper tag team if they don't hold the mother fucking tag team championships. Has driven me nuts since I got the game.

I really hope they've revamped the way the titles and shows are booked. Dual champions should be a very rare occurrence. It gets annoying especially with the tag titles, because I've had, for example, Undertaker wrestling at least two times on every fucking PPV. They really should limit the amount of times a wrestler can wrestle in a show, barring the Rumble and maybe a specific Universe storyline where he's forced into two matches.
