HHH. But it's a lot closer imo than the voting is indicating so far.

HHH's title wins never made me mark like Edge's did, so I'll be one of the few who go with the Edgemeister

I can see Triple H winning this one, but it can be debated that some of his success wouldn't have came if it weren't for the fact he was boning the boss' daughter

May not like him that much but I can't deny Triple H's greatness over Edge's.

Edge. Simple. Two reasons:
Edge is AWESOME! I HATE Triple H. |

Triple H from 1997-2001 is one of the best runs of alltime for a wrestler

I love Edge and I like Triple H...however, I feel that Triple H was/is the better wrestler. Weird.

Triple Haitch wins this out. In the present I enjoy Edge 10x that I do Triple H.
However, Triple H's original The Game stuff was amazing. Evolution era Triple H wasn't too bad either, despite the constant burial of the entire roster. |

Triple H.
I love Edge but he's not in H's league. Talent wise he arguably is but Triple H has been more or less THE top guy for over 10 years. His in ring skills are so overlooked as well. Very rarely makes mistakes, things always look neat, and his ring positioning is second to none. Also leader of the two of the three huge WWE stables since about 98. Two of the four if you include the corporation, but then he was also involved in that and has ended up marrying Steph. And HHH is a lovely bloke in real life, when I met him anyway. Edge steals best friends girlfriends. |

I can't seem to get over the hatred i had for HHH from 2002 to early 2004. Despite how good he was before and to an extent after.
Another reason to vote for Edge is because I think he stood out on his own as a rising star. HHH always had someone else there to make him look good. HBK, The Rock, Mick Foley, Austin. Edge didn't have as much help as HHH did. |

I'd just like to point out that Triple H's Better Wrestler record is 0-3. All losses to great opponents, but still a little surprising.

While Triple H's 1998-2002 "The Game" run was better than anything Edge has done in his career, I am still voting for Edge. Post-2004 Edge has entertained me more than Triple H by leaps and bounds. Even during the Attitude Era while HHH was a lot better than Edge, Edge was still damn entertaining with the whole E&C stuff. Plus as great as Triple H was from 98-02, I can't help but think that his main opponents being guys like The Rock and Stone Cold in their prime make him seem a little better than he was. Not taking anything away from H as he was that damn good and all but any heel would look better than they are feuding with Rocky in 2000.
So I guess Edge is more consistent and that is why he gets my vote. |

I will only post that I believe Triple H is one of the 5 the greatest all-around professional wrestler of the past 20 years on the global promotion level. Pardon me while my head explodes from reading some of the posts in this thread.

He's been pretty average since 2005. I honestly can't think of one great Triple H match since the HIAC with Batista in 2005. Orton LMS I guess was pretty good...

These types of match ups are tough to vote on. Do I vote Triple H because his prime was better than anyone in WWE history minus a select few or do I vote Edge because he's been more consistent in all his years? Keeps me up at night.

HHH by far, he carried the company for a few years when all the top players left (Rock, Stone Cold, ect ect) and only had Mick left.

If you're referring to late 1999 and 2000, The Rock was there the entire time and at his most popular.
If you're referring to 2003, after Rock and Austin had hung it up, Mick Foley was not around in any capacity. |

I'm guessing he is referring to around Mania 19 (Rock/Austin leaving) to Mania 21 (Cena/Batista winning world titles) but I'm not sure if HHH 'carried the company'
He was the top guy but it's not like there wasn't a shit tonne of big stars still kicking around (Angle, HBK, Taker, Lesnar, Goldberg, Jericho etc). |
