Carnage in Spidey 4?
I know, still too early to take any 'news' too serious, but i stumbled upon this. Sorry if its been posted already fellas.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/c...entryid=419069 oooor.... 'Scott Weinberg writes: "It's a very amusing game for those who adore comic books and movies in equal measure: Not only who'll be playing which role in the next superhero flicks, but which characters will be making their big-screen debuts. One source seems to know a little something about "Spider-Man 4." According to Freeze Dried Movies, whose source once got the Venom scoop right a while back, the villains who'll most likely pop up in "Spider-Man 4" are: Lizard, Carnage, and Black Cat. (Again we're mixing "classic era" villains with the new-fangled ones, despite the damage, in my opinion, that did to "Spider-Man 3.") Word is that screenwriter David Koepp might be brought back to the series for the next go-round, what with the latest Spidey flick thwapping every box office record in the books, but obviously we won't know who's writing / directing / returning until Sony wants us to know. Until then we can enjoy the Speculation Game.' Critics agree: Quote:

the only one id bank on would be Lizard. I can see them giving the 'Black Cat' persona to Gwen Stacy in some sort of way....and i dunno how Carnage would come about honestly. I also saw this on IGN awhile ago.
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS IN BLACK TXT* May 1, 2007 - With Spider-Man 3 opening in theaters stateside this Friday, fans want to know if this will be the last movie featuring their favorite neighborhood wallcrawler. Fear not, true believers: Spidey will indeed continue his big-screen adventures! FoxNews.com columnist Roger Friedman attended the premiere of Spider-Man 3 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on April 30th. The film's entire cast and director Sam Raimi were reportedly present. Friedman said Raimi advised him that there will be a Spidey 4, adding that it's "not clear which cast members will return, but as Raimi said, 'It's all about getting a script.'" That script will have to be written by another scribe besides Alvin Sargent, who penned the last two films and is married to Spidey producer Laura Ziskin. "It's time for someone else to do it," Sargent informed Friedman. (No word yet if David Koepp, who scripted the first Spider-Man movie, will be back for the fourth installment as earlier reports suggested.) The big surprise in the FoxNews.com report is word that one character who appears to die in Spidey 3 might return for Spidey 4. "It turns out I may not be completely dead," the unnamed actor who plays the unspecified character revealed. http://movies.ign.com/articles/784/784823p1.html |

I hope not Carnage, but if that's accurate, they can have more sweet tag team action. It'll just be a lot less epic, and kind of sad.

Okay, so i was just thinking....the symbiote MAY be destroyed right? Unlesss..........
i dont recall, but did Dr. Conners ever give back that itty bitty piece he was studying for Pete? If not, then that opens the door wide open for a symbiote in Spidey4 |

Haven't seen the movie yet, but if we're following cannon (or the 1995 series, which followed the comics the most):
Black Cat is an ally to Spider Man (who's fucking hot in the suit, by the way). She's in love (or at least is smitten for) Spidey, even though she has no idea who is behind the mask. The Carnage symbiote is a seperate symbiote that takes over someone different (forget who, exactly, but it's someone that's kind of mental). |

Carnage is the result of the Venom symbiote breaking Brock out and giving birth in the process. Cletus Cassidy, Brock's Cellmate who is serving 11 life sentences or something like that, melds with it. I believe that was after the symbiote was "killed" by Styx. The symbiote alters Cassidy's blood, and so he can always recreate his symbiote post-destruction. |

The Venom/Carnage/Toxin sagas are not film friendly. Cool characters, but milking the symbiote on screen will not help this movie series.

In some ways he's an improvement on the symbiote legacy, he has more story to tell and all that. The Toxin suit spawned off carnage and bonded with a cop who uses it for good. The suit is more sentient than the previous two and even engages in conversation with the host. The murderous streak of the Carnage suit lingers in the Toxin suit so the cop has attitude issues, on top of the issues having the suit in the first place brings.
Character design is piss-poor though. Ugly mash of red and blue (pushing it Marvel) with squiggly symbiote-flaps at the mid-section. |

His 'docile' mode is more attractive.

Toxin. Bah! Bastard stepchild of the symbiotes. Just like when they went all buckwild and created that group of symbiotes, whith the female version of carnage, etc. To me, the only symbiotes are venom and carnage, anything beyond that is Marvel going to to well once too often.
