They were overrated back in the day, but now they are extremely underrated because it became the 'cool' thing to hate Creed.

I wanted to throw the remote whenever "Photograph" played on our little in-store TV thing.
That was one of the few reasons why I'm glad we closed. |

I don't see how they are huge, when they don't even exist as a band anymore.

You got me. I only like indie bands like Queen, Cream, the Who, Led Zepplin, the Beatles, Doctor Dre, Ra, Dream Theater, Guster, The Pixies, The Cars, Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, System of a Down (Sorry, was thinking of all the mainstream bands with "Down" in their name), Godsmack, Manson, Nine Inch Nails... ...NEed I go on about the power of the unsigned, underground artists I love so much? |

Oh, on a semi related note (THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME!) Someone argued with me yesterday that people only said that about Linkin Park because of the singer's unique voice.
No, it had nothing to do with the fact that they're almost all played in the same key with almost identical intros and main riffs...IT was how Unique Chester is. |

I can't stand Nickelback. They really do suck and all of their songs DO sound the same but they're not as overplayed here.

The fact that you like Godsmack and the unashamedly indulgent drivel of NIN speaks volumes Although thats not a bad list all in all |

Indulgent drivel? You sir, are no gentleman.
Anyway, while I'll defend NIN, I won't defend Godsmack, as they made one good record and have spent the last half decade trying to repackage Voodoo. |

I don't think Nickleback are too bad. They're not my favourite band, but they're better than stuff like James Blunt, Cold Play, and most Pop songs. |

Or the Beatles? I'm not sure your point. A lot of people have external songwriters, but how does that excuse those that don't? Pop music has always been about making something mainstream and familiar. Nippleback may be too lazy or whatever, but so was Cash. So were a lot of pop musicians who won't ever receive this kind of scrutiny because everyone's too busy loving them. |

Explain how they are still 'huge'. Around here, people have pretty much hated Creed for years now. Like I said, it became the 'cool' thing to hate them and people barely seem to know they ever existed. I hear a Creed song on the radio maybe once a month now at most.

They're still played on the radio, they're selling records damn well...Yeah, these are markers that nobody knows who the fuck they are.

To be fair though, most of the remixes aren't really done by him anyway... He's got to keep the true fans happy though. Have you heard fixed? It's so awful, only a true artist could make it. |

So any band that is played on the radio is huge? (note my mention that I -rarely- hear them played) That makes about as much sense as you posting once a day. Also, provide some proof that they are 'selling records damn well', other than just pulling random information out of nowhere because you don't like the band and wish to discredit them.

Creed have never been particularly big in the UK, but then none of the Seattle bands or the shit ones they inspired really have been since 1994 apart from Nirvana

"Oh no! I don't hear them on the radio! NOBODY LISTENS TO THEM ANY MORE!" They get played on the freaking radio regulaly here. What does a small town in vermont meanm as an indicator? Quite a bit, when you consider that they're piping in music from one of those national syndications. But you're probably right, because you claim it's now "cool to hate them," And the RIAA seemed to disagree with you a while back but OH NO! I'm pulling shit out of my ass, just because you have to throw a tantrum in disagreement. Go on, though. Back up your shit, and I'll back up mine. Don't try and call my bullshit though, when you know you can't back up yours. |

In all honesty, though, you're not missing much. Another crappy generic band. But I'm probably just hating them because it's cool. |

My local radio station makes fun of bands like Nickelback, Hinder, Creed, Three Doors Down, Shinedown, etc. They call them "butt rock" and the bits they do on it are hilarious.

The best thing Creed ever did was create "My Sacrifice," which led to some pretty sweet WWF Desire music videos.
That's it though. Seriously, Creed sucks. |
