That list is void, as Man Of The Year is not even on it, let alone #1.

Wouldn't have been surprised if "A Good Year" made an appearance on that list. Pretty terrible.

I'd say:
1. Date Movie 2. Ultraviolet 3. World Trade Center 4. The Covenant 5. John Tucker Must Die 6. Pulse 7. The Grudge 2 8. Cars 9. Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 10. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest |

"We need 99 souls to save him! Let's fight! OK, NEW PLAN." Easily could've been cut. The subplots weren't needed, and it made the movie a chore to watch. Therefore, I thought it was a terrible film. Cars is an unfunny animanted movie that glorified the redneck lifestyle, and therefore i hate it for personal reasons. |

How can you rank Pulse as being better than WTC (same with Grudge 2)

My problem is that most of the movies that would make this list are crap that i would never see. My point here is not to come off as "holier than thou." My point here is that, as a society, we need to stop watching these horrible movies.
As long as they make money, Hollywood is going to keep making them. People need to realize that almost every bullshit sequel (like The Gudge 2) isnt made because there is more of a story to tell. They are simply a grab at a buck by un-creative Hollywood writers and producers. They are always going to go after what they feel is a built in audience...and the world is full of morons. Most people would rather just look at women and special effects than have a "cerebral" experience. Just about any animated movie is going to make money. There is marketing potential, plus the built in audience of every kid in America and there parents. The good news is that, in my opinion, about half of these animated movies are pretty good. This brings me to comic book based movies. Again, a built in audience. I liked the first Spiderman, the first X-men, The Punisher, and the last Batman movie. All the rest that i have seen SUCKED. And like it or not, you can usually tell alot from a movie trailer. This is going to hurt some peoples' feelings, but the Ghostrider movie, with Nicolas Cage, is going to SUCK. Do not see this film. |

They should have added Da Vinci Code. Saw that and had no idea when the movie was going to begin. Probably cause I've never read the book....

Wait a minute. Some one actually thinks Ghost Rider is going to be GOOD? Now I understand going to see a movie just because you like the subject matter, but why fool yourself? You can see this is a piece of shit a mile away. Come on.

Spawn is far from being the worst comic book movie. Though it wasn't brilliant, you don't know bad until you've seen Man-Thing (which I do own the DVD of, ha ha I'm a geek).

Bastards. Superman Returns was pretty awful though. They played his theme song every minute, for every little thing he had to do... |

The Benchwarmers, The Covenant and School For Scoundrels would definately be on my list. Nothing pisses me off like unfunny comedies. I know "funny" is a matter of opinion, and I know people who thought Date Movie was funny, but I just cannot stand it when I am funnier than a comedy that made people money.
The Covenant did not even impress my friend, who was saw nothing in it past the hot guys. Contrived shit in a pot, stirred and served with O.C. rejects. Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean weren't so much bad movies, in my opinion, as they were legacy-riding whores. Pixar can do better, and Johnny Depp's scene-stealing performance in the first one was the only reason to see it. Re-watching it is somewhat of a chore, for me. Once you know just how awesome Johnny Depp is going to be, you kind of anticipate it, and he's just not awesome enough to carry a movie. Johnny Depp's talents would be better utilised elsewhere. |

IMO the biggest problem with Pirates was that it played out like a huge trailer for the next one.
Basic movie is have a problem problem, find a solution work too the solution, all we got was problem, found a solution, work to it, no its a tease wait and see how it unfolds next time mother fuckers. Pointless if fun waste of my time really. And I know it has worked for some movies (Star Wars springs to mind) but it didnt sit well for me in this one. Also my Super ex deserves its spot there, Napoleon Dynamite was shit (not sure what year that was) X - Men 3 wasnt realy shit but it was a massive let down for me, Benchwarmers also deserves to be there. I cant think of all the others I rented and slept through right now. |
