Who Here is Actually Going to WrestleMania?
I am not going to the event itself, however, I will be in Orlando this weekend partaking in various festive merriment surrounding the event itself; kind of like a Brad Maddox of WrestleMania weekend sort of thing.
There are so many things going on, from WrestleCon to Axxess, ROH and like 25 other indy shows, free signings and charity events and appearances. Just curious to see if anyone else is going and what they're up to that weekend. Quote:

I'm flying out tomorrow - I love Orlando after going a couple of times before, so heading to Universal Studios and Islands a couple of times, heading to Florida Mall and the Premium Outlets to blow cash, doing NXT, my second Mania (went to 28) and possibly Raw, not sure yet. As you say, there is so much to do in Orlando, and that's not even specific to wrestling. You could spend a month out there and still not do everything you want, it's amazing. Super excited for it.

I'm flying to Orlando Wednesday night. I have tickets for Takeover (thanks slik ), Wrestlemania, Raw, and Smackdown.
This will be my first time in Florida. I'm planning to go to Disney World Thursday and Friday. Spending Saturday & Sunday before Takeover/Wrestlemania with a friend. I might need to work Monday & Tuesday before Raw/Smackdown. |

Im glad I didnt win the auction for the tickets or I would have gone. The show on paper seems underwhelming at best and when the most exciting thing is what the stage will look like...
Maybe next year. |

In the past 10 years, I've spent roughly over a year and a half or so of that combined in Orlando for various trips. I love it there as well. Will be doing more outside of the wrestling related things as well, making a nice weekend out of it. There are so many cool 'touristy' things to do from Kissimmee to the other surrounding areas there. Gator Boat tours, Artegon Marketplace has one of the largest comic book / memorabilia stores in America, great food all around the city, etc. Hope you enjoy yourself and safe travels. |

Awesome that it's your first trip to Florida. Orlando is a great starting off point; the further south you go (ie. West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami) the less there is to do and the more expensive things become. If you go to Disney, be sure to utilize the Fast Pass system for the rides if you can. If you have tickets in advance, I think you can do it online - if not, you can do it at the park. It will save you some time of standing in lines. I don't know how busy of a weekend it will be, as normally it gets a bit crowded this time of year - but with Mania in town, it may increase some of those numbers as well. There are ALLLLLL kinds of cool things to do in Orlando, so be sure to do a quick Google search of anything in the area that may interest you if you have the time and funds to do anything else. They have escape rooms, Gatorworld, dinner shows, tours, all kinds of stuff. Anyhow, hope you enjoy your trip and safe travels. |

East coast sucks, Gulf Coast is so much better and there's alot to do. Plus the beaches are much nicer. Then again I live on the Gulf so i'm biased.

I absolutely agree.
I tell everyone who makes a big stink about wanting to visit Miami Beach, etc. to save time and money and go to Captiva or Panama City or any of those areas. South Florida is an overrated toilet bowl. |
