Im not one to be doom and gloom after 2 games, but the Ravens season pretty much rests on them going into St Louis and beating the piss out of the Rams. If they lose to the Rams, I dare say that the season should get flushed down the toilet, especially staring at a 1-4 start with the Jets and Houston up over the next 3 weeks. They still have the other Steelers game and a game with the Chargers which is 10-6 as long as they win every other game and thats not gonna do shit in the AFC.

The Ravens were a Playoff Contender in the AFC for sure and possible Super Bowl rep for the AFC. If they start the year off 1-4, thats not happening.
I actually had the bad thought that if they do go 1-4 they might as well go for the "suck for Luck" and not win another game. They play one of the major contenders for Luck (Seattle) as it is (the other being Miami). Flacco is a free agent after this year too.. |

I doubt that anyone's seriously thinking about flacco not resigning but if he finishes out the season with more games like he had Sunday vs the Titans there will be some people in Baltimore who would probably not want them to resign him.
Would also like to clarify, I would be absolutely shocked if Harbaugh doesnt have the team focus and prepared to kick the shit out of St Louis and get back on track. But I really never thought that the team would just decide to not show up last weekend either, so I really don't know. the biggest thing that pissed me off about the game sunday was the ravens were down 13 with 7 minutes to go at the Titans 11 and pretty much conceded the game by kicking a FG instead of going for it on 4th and goal. I went nuts for that call, made absolutely no sense to me at all. |

Itd be hillarious if the Colts got the #1 pick. Why take Luck if Peyton still has a couple years left? But if he gets hurt again and his career is over..

I sympathize with RP here, for what it's worth. I know personally I look forward to the football season a great deal each year and it's emotionally deflating when your favorite team plays poorly or catches a rash of injuries etc.
I can't even imagine my team losing a HOF QB in the weeks leading into the season. |

Decided to go ahead and do this now to take my mind off my skin peeling due to my crispy sun fried skin.
My NFL Betting Picks Week 3 (Week 2 3-10-3 ATS, Season 10-18-4) Obviously not doing that great, but I feel as though Im going to turn a corner this week! Or not. Bengals -2.5 vs 49ers [Everyone on board the Andy Dalton Express! The 49ers are 2 return 2 TDs from Ted Ginn away from being a pretty mediocre 0-2 team and not a lucky subpar 1-1 team.] Bills +8.5 vs Patriots [Bills won't win, but they'll keep it to within 1 score.] Texans +4.5 @ Saints [Saints surprised me last week, I'll admit, but they are 2-6 ATS at home in their last 8 and the Texans are a much better team than the Bears.] Eagles vs Giants - NO LINE - [I would take the Eagles with or without Vick.] Browns -2.5 vs Dolphins [Take the team not headed towards the #1 pick in the draft, even though that means you're taking the Browns..ew.] Titans -7 vs Broncos [the Titans looked like they had everything together vs the Ravens, and the Broncos are giving up 5 ypc which should be good for Chris Johnson.] Lions -3.5 @ Vikings [Too much offense vs not enough offense.] Panthers -3.5 vs Jaguars [Rookie QBs facing off in week 3, take the one thats started 2 games already and playing at home.] Chargers -14.5 vs Chiefs [I dont like giving up more than 2 TDs but I dont see how the Chiefs can be expected to mount enough offense to keep up with SD and avoid getting blown out again. The Chargers seem to hate bettors though, so go forth with caution.] Jets -3.5 @ Raiders [Raiders looked great vs the Bills but the Bills defense =/= Jets defense.] Ravens -3.5 @ Rams [The Ravens could get torched by Bradford..but this is a game the Ravens need to win.] Falcons +1.5 @ Buccaneers [Everyones all over the Falcons for being a bad road team but the Bucs are a pretty equally bad home team (3-13 ATS last 16 home games), so something has to give. I think the momentum is in the Falcons favor.] Cardinals -3.5 @ Seahawks [People are liking the Seahawks for the single reason that its their first home game, but I dont see how the location matters when the team is still the same that has looked BAD so far..] Packers -3.5 @ Bears [Tough matchup, I still think the Bears are a decent team..and its in Chicago..if it were more points Id take the Bears but I cant do it at just +3.5.] Steelers -10 @ Colts [I honestly have no idea how this doesn't end up in a blow out. For as much as I didn't like the Steelers to cover last week (and got burned), this is my the Lock of the Week (0-1).] Cowboys -6.5 vs Redskins -No Line- [If Romo plays and hes even 75% you have to like the Cowboys, but if Kitna starts it'll probably be a long night for Dallas. Under the assumption that Romo will play, so going with Cowboys for now.] Results 4-12 ATS (14-30-4 Season) Last edited by Droford; 09-28-2011 at 07:39 PM. |

I don't know how the Colts don't get blown out either, but this game sure does have a " Custards last stand " feel to it.

I really want Painter in there. Collins is done. I appreciate him trying but I think they are better off with a kid who's hungry and has something to prove. Collins has neither.

Yo RP, even with an old ass terrible QB, rest assured knowing he'll get at least 2 wins this year. Both against the Jags. Doesn't matter who Collins plays for, he always fucking beats us.

Hanso, coming in to this season, did you feel Fitzpatrick would be as superb as he has been thus far?

I've been waiting for Fitzpatrick to have a break out season. Dude has shown some flashes in the past. I don't watch a lot of Bills games but the guy can sling it. I want to see what he does this year against some top tier teams.

The guy is no doubt the smartest QB in the game. Hes really starting to get good at reading defenses, and with every game he improves. But he is Very Limited with his arm strength, and I think that people will be able to figure him out soon. I guess Im just trying to avoid jumping on the Bandwagon. Bills fans got burned bad in 2008 when Trent Edwards came out 5-1 and looked like a Pro Bowl QB. Now he is out of the league. |
